Dr. Michael Thomas Aide is a Professor in the Department of Agriculture at Southeast Missouri State University, USA. He received his M.S. in the field of soils major in (1982) and Ph. D. in soil chemistry major, chemistry minor from Mississippi State University in (1982). He worked as Professor in the departments of Physics and Engineering-Physics, Geosciences, Agriculture. Dr. Michael Thomas Aide research interests include Soil: Research interests center on the chemical behavior of transition metals in soil, especially metal-oxide adsorption mechanisms. A second area of interest involves clay mineralogy and soil formation (genesis). Both areas require continuing interest in analytical instrumentation, especially NMR, HPLC, FT-IR, XRD, SEM, MS-ICP, INAA, and EXAFS. Agronomy: Research interests involve the growth and development of grain crops in integrated systems involving soil fertility and water management of particular interest is the influence of soil chemistry on rice physiology. Mathematics: Interests involve discovering analytical and numerical solutions for differential equations having applications to soil science.

Dr. David Arthur Sampson is a Research Scientist at Decision Center for a Desert City, Arizona State University, USA. Dr. David received his M.S. in Forestry: Systems Ecology from Northern Arizona University in 1988. He received his Ph. D. in Forestry: Systems Modeling from Colorado State University in 1992. He is a team member, and lead, of a group that will explore tri-city comparisons of water resource sustainability in the Colorado River Basin, a modeler, for new effort lead by the Smithsonian to bring water education and outreach to rural communities of the United States through a program called "Waterways", a traveling exhibition and community engagement initiative as part of their Museum on Main Street program. His research interests includes water resource management, juncture of climate chance and drought, and land use change as influencing water supplies and water demand (and the current and expected future water management policies) in a large, arid Urban Metropolitan Area.

Dr. Laodong Guo is a Professor in the School of Freshwater Sciences at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Oceanography from Texas A&M University. Dr. Laodong Guo research interest includes Biogeochemical cycling of carbon, nutrients and trace elements; Role of natural dissolved organic matter in governing the fate, transport and bioavailability/toxicity of chemical species in aquatic environments; Biogeochemical processes at the soil-water, river-lake, and land-ocean interfaces; Applications of stable isotopes and radionuclides (U/Th-series and fallout) in the studies of aquatic biogeochemistry.

Dr. Hongbing Sun is a Professor in the Department of Geological, Environmental, and Marine Sciences at Rider University, USA. Dr. Hongbing Sun received his M.S. from Graduate School, Chinese Academy of Geological Sciences in 1987. He received his Ph. D. from Department of Geology, Florida State University, USA. Dr. Hongbing Sun research interest includes Environmental health (Effect of soil heavy metal, pesticides on the health), and hydrology. Detailed areas including: Environmental health statistics, hydro statistics, soil water rock interaction, contaminant modeling, optimization of contaminant cleanup; Data assimilation: Time series analysis, forecasting, initialization, statistics and probability. Stochastic, fractal; geochemistry, hydro-radiochemistry, general Geology.

Dr. Andrew Kusiak is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Iowa Informatics Initiative, USA. He has served as chairman of two departments, Industrial Engineering (1988-95) and Mechanical and Industrial Engineering (2000-05). Dr. Kusiak receive his Ph.D. in Operations Research, Polish Academy of Sciences, 1979, his M.S. in Mechanical Engineering, Warsaw Technical University, 1974. Dr. Andrew Kusiak research interests include applications of computational intelligence and big data in renewable energy, automation, manufacturing, product development, sustainability, and healthcare.

Prof. Mohamed Abou El Fetouh Barakat is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Sciences, King Abdulaziz University, Saudi Arabia. Dr. Mohamed Abou received his Ph.D. in Inorganic Chemistry, Cairo University, Egypt. His research interests include nanomaterials for environmental applications including photocatalytic degradation of organic pollutants in industrial waste water, new and modified adsorbents for removal of pollutants in waste water, membrane technology for waste water treatment, phytoremediation of heavy metals in soil and water.

Prof. Hamidi Abdul Aziz is a Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, Malaysia. Dr. Aziz received his Ph.D. in civil engineering (environmental engineering) from the University of Strathclyde in Scotland in 1992. To date, he has published over 200 refereed articles in international journals and proceedings. Prof. Hamidi Abdul Aziz research interests include landfill technology, landfill leachate, wastewater engineering, advanced oxidation processes, biodegradation and bioremediation of oil spills and also in noise pollution, problems associated with water pollution issues from industrial wastewater discharges and from solid waste management via landfilling, such as landfill leachate.

Prof. Hassan A Arafat is a Professor in the Department of Chemical and Environmental Engineering, Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Arafat received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, University of Cincinnati, USA (2000), B.S, Chemical Engineering, University of Jordan, Jordan (1996). He was honored by Best presentation award in 2013, recipient of USA Department of Energy (DOE) Secretarial Honor Award. Dr. Hassan A Arafat research interests include desalination, membrane development for water and wastewater applications, solid waste management.

Dr. Marija Romic is a Professor in the Department of Soil Amelioration, University of Zagreb, Croatia. Dr. Romic received her M.S. in the field of soil chemistry 1992 and Ph.D. in soil geochemistry in 2002. Her research interests include physical and chemical processes and analytical procedures in environmental studies of soil and sediments, water and plant material, assessment of soil quality with combined pedological, numerical and geostatistical approaches for identification and mapping of sensitive and vulnerable areas, and of areas polluted with inorganic contaminants which might be reclaimed, natural resources favouring fertility and the protection of soil quality.

Dr. James J Riley is a Associate Professor in the Department of Soil, Water and Environmental Science at University of Arizona, USA. He had spent the greater part of his professional career in the administration of International agricultural research and development programs outside the United States. He received his Ph. D. in the department of Hydrology from The University of Arizona in 1968. Dr. James J Riley research interests includes improving water management and conservation in aridlands. In particular he is working on rainwater harvesting as an important source of water and halophyte irrigation as a means of utilizing brine streams from power plants and desalting plants.

Dr. Gabrijel Ondrasek is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Soil Amelioration at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture where he is been working since 2001. He received a BSc (2000), MSc (2004) and PhD (2008) in the field of agricultural sciences from the University of Zagreb. His research interests are related to sustainable water and soil management in the agroecosystem, and particularly to anthropogenic pressures of agricultural resources from trace metals contamination and salinization processes. He edited one academic book and published as a (co)author 12 book chapters and over 30 scientific papers. In his professional carriers he coordinated/collaborated over 50 (inter)national projects dealing with water and soil management in agroecosystems and rural areas, and spent over 35 months at different eminent research and academic institutions in Australia and Europe.

Dr. Guangwei Ding is an Associate professor of Chemistry Department, Northern State University, USA. Dr. Guangwei Ding received his Ph.D from University of Massachusetts at Amherst, Environmental/Analytical Chemistry in 2002, Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine, University of London, London. U.K., Environmental Technology in 1998. Dr. Guangwei Ding Identifying the structure of Natural Organic Matter (NOM) by using solid-state C-13 nuclear magnetic resonance and Infrared spectroscopic techniques. Studying the sorption/desorption behavior of hydrophobic organic compounds to natural organic matter. Understanding the hysteresis and the sorption mechanisms by observing the conformation changes of NOM, and characterization of mechanism is critical for fate and risk assessment as sorption can be rate-limiting to biodegradation, bioavailability, and subsurface transport of contaminants. Using radioactive material to identify the vertical distribution of soil erosion. Carbon sequestration associated with global change and policy.

Dr. Chanmging Yang is a Professor in the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University, China. Dr. Yang received his Ph.D. in Soil Science from Institute of Soil Science, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, China in 2002. Dr. Chanmging Yang research interests include C/N biogeochemical cycling and its environment effects in riparian wetland ecosystem, Theory and technology for ecological remediation of urban polluted soil and eutrophical waters, Municipal sludge stabilization and resource utilization for urban soil quality improvement and ecological rehabilitation of abandoned mine.

Dr. Guangxin Zhang is a Professor in Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, China. Dr. Zhang received his Ph.D. in Environment Sciences, Northeast Institute of Geography and Agroecology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2004, M.S in, Hydrology & Water Resources, College of Environment and Resources, Jilin University in 1994. Dr. Guangxin Zhang research interests include Hydrological processes and water cycle and water resources management, Wetland eco-hydrology and water environment, Hydrological processes and water resources management, Wetland eco-hydrology and water environment, Groundwater-Surface Water Interactions.

Dr. Lin Yuanhua is a Professor in the Department of School of petroleum engineering, Southwest Petroleum University, China. Dr. Yuanhua received his Ph.D. in Drilling Engineering from Southwest Petroleum Institute in 1999, M.Sc. in Oil Field Equipment, Southwest Petroleum Institute in 1996. His research interests include Oil well construction, corrosion of metals, OCTG(oil country tubular goods) design, environment protection of oil well drilling.

Dr. Lei Wang is a Professor in College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nankai University, China. Dr. Wang received his Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry, College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Nankai University in 2007. He received his Excellent Student Scholarship many times in Nankai University, Excellent Doctor Degree Dissertation of Nankai University in 2007. Dr. Lei Wang research interests include Transport and transformation behavior of organic contaminants in soil and aquatic environments, human biomonitoring and toxicokinetics of emerging contaminants, Analysis technology of Environmental samples (water, soil, sediment, and biota).

Dr. Ronghua Li is an associate professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering and Sciences, Northwest A&F University, China. He recieved his Ph.D. in Environmental Chemistry, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, China, M.s. in Soil Environmental Chemistry, Northwest A&F University, Yangling, China. His research interests include controlling of heavy metals mobility in soil environment, efforts have also focused on Agricultural solid wastes disposal and utilization (composting, engineered biochar and low cost adsorbent development) and Heavy metal polluted soil remediation (Mainly focused on the Cd, Pb, Hg polluted farmland remediation by immobilization).
