Dr. Gabrijel Ondrasek is an Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Soil Amelioration at the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Agriculture where he is been working since 2001. He received a BSc (2000), MSc (2004) and PhD (2008) in the field of agricultural sciences from the University of Zagreb. His research interests are related to sustainable water and soil management in the agroecosystem, and particularly to anthropogenic pressures of agricultural resources from trace metals contamination and salinization processes. He edited one academic book and published as a (co)author 12 book chapters and over 30 scientific papers. In his professional carriers he coordinated/collaborated over 50 (inter)national projects dealing with water and soil management in agroecosystems and rural areas, and spent over 35 months at different eminent research and academic institutions in Australia and Europe.
