Prognostic Significance of MIPI and MIPI-B Scoring Systems for Mantle Cell Lymphoma in the Turkish Population

Abstract: Our objective in this study is assessment of Mantle Cell Lymphoma International Prognostic Index (MIPI) and biological MIPI (MIPI-B) scores as prognostic markers based on real-life data of patients diagnosed with mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) in Turkey.

Factor VII Arg304Gln (FVII Padua) in North and South Americas: The Influence of Past "Forced" or Spontaneous Migrations

Abstract: All homozygous cases of this FVII defect reported from the Mediterranean countries and from North and South America have been evaluated. Both papers with genetically proven cases and those without molecular biology studies were taken into consideration. The latter had to show low FVII level with rabbit brain thromboplastin and near normal levels with human placenta or human recombinant reagents.

Intravascular Hemolysis as a Presenting Feature of Acute Cytomegalovirus Infection in an Immunocompetent Patient

Abstract: The case is of 23-year-old Caucasian male who fell from 30 feet height in a suicidal attempt. He sustained multiple orthopedic fractures including hips, left lower ribs, and right radius at the elbow. He had multiple orthopedic surgeries with fixation of his fractures including pins, plates and screes.
