Prof. Mi Lu is a Professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Texas A&M University, USA. She received her MS and PhD degrees in electrical engineering from Rice University, Houston, in 1984 and 1987, respectively. Prof. Lu was the conference chairperson of the Fifth, Sixth, and Seventh International Conference on Computer Science and Informatics. She served on the panels of the National Science Foundation, on the panel of 1992 IEEE Workshop on Imprecise and Approximate Computation, and on the program committees of many other conferences. Prof. Mi Lu's research interests includes parallel computing, distributed processing, parallel computer architectures and algorithms, computer networks, computer arithmetic, computational geometry, computational biology, and VLSI algorithms.

Prof. Bharat Bhushan is an Ohio Eminent Scholar and The Howard D. Winbigler Professor and Director of Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio- & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Affiliated Faculty, Battelle Center for Science & Technology Policy, John College of Public Affairs,Ohio State University. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado, Boulder in 1976. Prof. Bhushan honored with Ohio State University –Scott Faculty Award for Excellence in Engineering Education, Institution of Chemical Engineers (UK) Global Awardfor Oil-Water Separation using Green Coating.Prof. Bharat Bhushan's research interests includes Fundamental studies in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology/nanomechanics and nanomaterials characterization inbio/nanotechnology and biomimetics with a focus on scanning probe techniques.

Prof. Rolando Arturo Chamy Maggi is a Professor and Chair at the Pontifical Catholic University of Valparaíso, Chile, USA. Prof. Chamy also Director of the Curauma Biotechnology Nucleus center of applied investigation in biotechnology, which is part of the same university. He is a Biochemical Engineer and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of Santiago de Compostela, Spain. Prof. Chamy also Technical Vice President of Inter-American Association of Sanitary and Environmental Engineering and Director of the "Master in CDM and Energy Efficiency". Prof. Rolando Arturo Chamy Maggi's research interests includes Anaerobic digestion, Renewable energy, Climate Change, Environmental sustainability, Carbon market, Innovation management, Environmental biotechnology, Biological treatment of solid, liquid and gaseous effluents.

Prof. Fernando Albericio is a Professor of School of Chemistry & Physics at University of KwaZulu-Natal in Durban, South Africa. He is also Full Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of Barcelona, Spain and Visiting Professor of School of Chemistry at King Saud University, Saudi Arabia. Prof. Albericio honored with Fourth Leonidas Zervas Award, European Peptide Society in 1994, Distinction, Vincent du Vigneaud Award, American Peptide Society in 2011 and A-Rating, National Research Foundation, South Africa in 2013. Prof. Fernando Albericio's research interests includes all aspects of peptide synthesis (new reactions, building blocks, coupling reagents, solid phase supports, protecting groups, and linkers) and combinatorial chemistry methodologies, as well as synthesis of peptides and small molecules with therapeutic activities (cancer and infectious diseases). Furthermore, his group is also involved in developing new systems for drug delivery and strategies for diagnostics as well. He was working in the development of multicomponent platforms for the preparation of bioconjugates, involving peptides, foldamers, oligonucleotides, and monoclonal antibodies.

Prof. Ramaz Katsarava is a Professor of the Georgian Technical University, Head of the Research Centre for Medical Biotechnology & Bioengineering-US CRDF/RESCenter at GTU and Director of the Institute of Chemistry and Molecular Engineering at Agricultural University of Georgia, Georgia. He was honored with World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) Award (Gold Medal) for Outstanding Inventor (2007). Prof. Ramaz Katsarava's research interests includes New Polycondensation (PC) methods, Synthesis of heterochain polymers of different classes (polyamides, polyesters, polyuretanes, polyureas, etc.) using these new methods. Synthesis and study of novel biodegradable and biocompatible (bioassimilative) polymers poly(ester amide)s, poly(ester urethane)s, poly(ester urea)s and their copolymers, functional, unsaturated and water soluble polymers, hydrogels, etc. Practical applications of the new biodegradable polymers as resorbable surgical devices, sustained/controlled drug delivery/eluting systems (films, micro and nanoparticles), for constructing artificial organs, etc.

Dr. Rodrigo Torres is a Head and Researcher at the Department of Chemistry and Biomedical Sciences at Petroleum Colombian Institute-ECOPETROL, Piedecuesta, Colombia. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Molecular Biology from Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain and MSc in Biochemical Engineering from Catholic University of Valparaiso, Chile. Dr. Torres honored with Post-Doc Fellowship, UIS-Colombia and Cornell University-USA in 2010 and 2014 Correspondent Member, ACCEFYN-Colombia. Dr. Rodrigo Torres's research interests includes Enzyme immobilization, Biocatalysis and Biotransformations, Protein engineering and Nanobiotechnology for the development of new applications in Enzyme technology, Environmental applications and Antimicrobial compounds.

Dr. Cai Li is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Rutgers University, Piscataway NJ, USA. He received his Ph.D. in the Field of Physiology & Neurobiology from Rutgers University in 1997 and Postdoctoral degree Harvard Medical School & Howard Hughes Medical Institute, Boston, MA. Dr. Li was honored with Annual Dissertation Award of the Northeastern Association of Graduate Schools, USA in 1998 and he received Busch Biomedical Research Award in 2006, 2008 and 2015. Dr. Cai Li's research interest focuses on the gene regulation in stem and progenitor cells use an integrative approach combining computational prediction and experimental verification and the regulatory mechanisms of gene expression in stem cells during normal development and pathogenesis.

Dr. Gassan Hodaifa Meri is an Associate Professor in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemical Engineering at Pablo de Olavide University, Seville, Spain and Chemical Engineering Area as Lecturer. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Biotechnology and Agricultural Engineering from Jaen University, Jaen, Spain (1997-2004). Dr. Gassan Hodaifa Meri's research interests includes Industrial Biochemistry and biotechnology as Industrial Enzyme, Industrial Yeast, Industrial Biocatalysis, Food Industry, Industrial Microbiology. His research began in the year 1997 has joined to the research group “Bioprocesses TEP-138” and he work in the investigation lines of Biotechnology of Microalgae, Industrial and Urban Wastewater Treatment, Chemical Oxidation, Membrane Technology, Adsorption processes, Pesticides Removal, and Biotechnology of Enzymes.

Dr. Gillian Eggleston is a Lead Scientist Grade 15 and Director, Southern Regional Research Center-United States Dept. of Agriculture-Agricultural Research Service, New Orleans. Dr. Eggleston received her B.Sc. in Chemistry and Biochemistry in 1984 from the University of Nottingham, UK, and her Ph.D. in 1989 in Carbohydrate Biophysics from Cranfield Institute of Technology, UK. Her major scientific and commercial accomplishments are reflected in 26 national and international awards, including two FLC National Technology Transfer Awards, the South African Society of Sugar Technologists Talbot-Crosbie Award, four Sugar Industry Technologists (International) Awards, the early and senior USDA-Mid South Area Scientist Awards, the American Chemical Society (ACS) Melville L. Wolfrom Award. Dr. Gillian Eggleston's research intertest includes Sugar and bioenergy pilot plant design and operation, Optimization of industrial applications of commercial enzymes, Development of novel methods to measure insoluble/soluble starch in factory and biorefinery products and by-products, etc.

Dr. Yan Liu is an Associate professor in the Department of Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering at Michigan State University, USA. She is leading an active research program on biological conversion of agricultural residues into value-added products. He received her Ph.D. degrees on Food Science and Biosystems Engineering at Washington State University. Dr. Yan Liu's research interests includes Biological conversion of agricultural residues to value-added products and energy, High density microorganism fermentation, Animal waste conversion to renewable energy and other bioproducts, Fungal culture to produce high value products (such as lipids, enzymes, probiotics, prebiotics, organic acids and chitin), Algal cultivation for CO2 sequestration as well as strain screening, Development and application.

Dr. Joseph O Rich is a Research Leader of Renewable Product Technology in the United States Department of Agriculture at National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research, USA. Previously he served as a Senior Scientist at Baxter Health and Director in the Department of Biochemistry at Northwestern University. Dr. Rich received his Ph.D. in the Department of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, University of Iowa in 1996. He was honored with 2001 da Vinci Award for Excellence in Science, Engineering and Technology. Dr. Joseph O Rich's research interests includes Biotechnology, Biocatalysis Biofuels, Bioprocess development and engineering, Drug metabolism, Enzymology, Fermentation, High throughput screening, Laboratory automation, Natural products.

Dr. Sofiane Guessasma is a Senior Research Scientist in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at French National Institute of Agriculture (INRA), Research unit Biopolymers, Interactions & Assemblies, Nantes, France. He was honored with 2015 elected High-end foreign expert, State Administration of Foreign Experts Affairs, China and 2013 elected fellow of Churchill college, University of Cambridge, UK. Dr. Guessasma joined INRA in 2005 to work on a new research direction in bio-based products including food and green materials. He led a theme on predictive analysis of biopolymer functionalities and their relation to the microstructural effects at different scales. Dr. Sofiane Guessasma's research interests includes Biopolymer processing, texture of food, mechanical characterization, computer-based models, Microstructural analysis, Structure- property correlations, 3D printing.

Dr. Flavio Boccia is an Associate Professor at Parthenope University of Naples, Italy and he also Professor ofInternationalization of agri-food companies, Italy. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Agri-food and Environmental Economics, Parthenope University of Naples in 2002. Dr. Flavio Boccia's research interests includes corporate social responsibility, marketing strategies, internationalization, genetically modified organisms, environment. His main scientific interest focuses on Genetically Modified Organisms and Agri-biotechnologies, Food quality in advanced systems, Food consumer choice and marketing, etc.

Dr. Alessandra Morana is a Research scientist at the Institute of Agro-environmental and Forest Biology (IBAF)-National Research Council of Italy. She received her Master Degree in Medicinal chemistry from University of Naples. Dr. Alessandra Morana's research interests includes Environmental biotechnology, microbial biotechnology, microbiology, biochemistry, enzymology, chemistry. She is mainly directed towards studies on extremophilic microorganisms with particular regard to the biochemistry of Archaea and enzymes of potential biotechnological interest in several industrial fields. She also focused her attention on extreme halophiles capable to produce biopolymers andcarotenoids. At present, her research activity is continuing on isolation, purification and characterization of biopolymers from extreme halophilic archaea.

Prof. Muftah H El Naas is a Chair & Professor at the Gas Processing Center, College of Engineering, Qatar University, Qatar. He obtained a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering from the University of British Columbia, Canada and Ph.D in Chemical Engineering from McGill University, Canada. Prof. El-Naas previously served as Chair of the Chemical and Petroleum Engineering Department, Director of the Petroleum Science and Engineering Graduate Program, and Director of Research Funding at the UAE University. Prof. Muftah H El Naas's research interests includes CO2 capture and sequestration; biotechnology; water treatment and purification; membrane separation; and plasma technology, Development of new, environmental-friendly technologies for the Oil and Gas industry.

Dr. Mahmoud Meribout is an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Petroleum Institute, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. Dr. Meribout received his M.Sc in the Department of Biomedical Engineering in 1991 and Ph.D. in Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in 1994 from University of Technology of Compiegne, France. Dr. Meribout was awarded with Best senior design project award in the EE Department, Best award in the Second SPE UAE Young Professional Competition and NTT’s Annual Award of Best Innovative Research in the field of Hardware Design for Real-time Image Processing Platforms. Dr. Mahmoud Meribout's research interests ocusses on embedded systems, imaging systems (THz, MPI, optical, electrical, and magnetic tomography), instrumentation, and multiphase flow metering, and enhanced oil recovery using electrical mean.

Dr. Philippe Michaud is a Head in the Biological Engineering department of Polytech Clermont Ferrand, and Professor of Biochemistry at school of Engineering of the Clermont Auvergne University, France. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Microbiology and Bioconversion from Picardie Jules Verne University in 1996. Dr. Philippe Michaud's research interests includes Biochemistry, Bioconversion, Microbiology, Biological Engineering, Biorefinery, Biochemistry of poly- and oligosaccharides, Biosourced materials, Biological Engineering, Production and Enzymatic degradation of microbial polysaccharides, Process for obtaining poly- and oligosaccharides from microbial and plant biomasses and structure identification.

Dr. Sanghoon Kim is a Research Chemist of Plant Polymer Research Unit at National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research of United States Department of Agriculture, USA. Previously he served as a researcher in the Polymers Division of National Institute of Standards and Technology in Gaithersburg, Maryland, USA. Dr. Kim received his Ph.D. in the Department of Chemistry, University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1992. He was awarded with Presidential prize at the Nationwide Science Contest in Korea (1984). Dr. Sanghoon Kim's research interest focuses on the Utilization of agricultural commodities for non-food applications, Development of degradable materials from bio polymers, Utilization/modification of carbohydrates and proteins for industrial use, Development of bio-based nano particles as commercial products, and Development of bio-based nano capsules that carry chemicals (e.g., pesticides) and drugs for controlled-release.

Dr. Itzik Harosh is the founder & CEO of ObeTherapy Biotechnology in Genopole at Evry, France. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Organic Chemistry, The Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot, Israel in 1987 and M.Sc. in the Department of Biochemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel.
