Dr. Saeed Niku is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California. He received his BSc degree (Tehran Polytechnic, 1975), MSc degree (Stanford University, 1976) and PhD degree (University of California at Davis, 1982) in mechanical engineering. Saeed is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of California, and a Fulbright Specialist Scholar (India, 2014). Since 1983, he has taught and performed research at Cal Poly, and has taught classes in design, robotics, and mechanics. He has written the Introduction to Robotics (2nd Ed., John Wiley and Sons, 2011), the Creative Design of Products and Systems (John Wiley and Sons, 2009), and Engineering principles of Everyday Life for Non-Engineers (Morgan and Claypool, 2016). Dr. Saeed Niku research interests includes in the development of robots and vision systems, and in mechanics, biomechanics, and development of devices for the disabled.

Dr. Mustapha Mouloua is a Professor in Department of Psychology and Director of the Applied/Experimental Psychology and Human at University of Central Florida, USA. Mouloua received his Maitrise (Post Graduate Diploma) in Industrial Psychology from the University of Algiers and his M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Applied/Experimental Psychology from The Catholic University of America, Washington, DC. He was a research fellow from 1992 to 1994 at the Cognitive Science Laboratory of The Catholic University of America and became an assistant professor of psychology at UCF in 1994. In addition, he has also made over 225 presentations at national and international meetings, 55 invited colloquia and lectures at local and regional meetings, and was featured in 42 interviews in local, national, and international newspapers, radio, and T.V. interviews. Dr. Mustapha Mouloua research interests includes attention and human performance, cognitive aging, automation, aviation psychology, Human-Technology Interaction, Simulation and Training, Instructional and Information Technologies, Human Performance Assessment, Pilot-Cockpit Interaction, Training in Virtual Environments, Automation and Workload in Aviation Systems, Assessment of Older Drivers and Driver Distraction.

Dr. Xiao-Hua Yu is a full Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, USA. Xiao-Hua Yu received her Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of California, Irvine. She was a summer faculty research fellow at NASA Ames research center in 2001 and 2002. Xiao-Hua has served in the organization and program committees of many international conferences. Dr. Xiao-Hua Yu research interests includes Computational Intelligence, Adaptive Filters, and Stochastic Control Systems.

Dr. Tiauw Hiong Go is an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at Florida Institute of Technology, Melbourne, USA. Tiauw Hiong received his S.M. and Sc.D. degrees in Aeronautics and Astronautics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA in 1994 and 1999, respectively. He stayed at MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate and later as a Research Engineer until 2005, performing various researches in collaboration with FAA and NASA. In December 2005, Dr. Tiauw Hiong joined Nanyang Technological University (NTU) in Singapore as an Assistant Professor. During his tenure at NTU until 2012, he has been instrumental in the development of flight simulation and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) laboratories in the university. Since January 2013, He has been with Florida Institute of Technology (FIT) in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering. Dr. Tiauw Hiong Go research interest includes unconventional flight dynamics and control, UAV systems, and multiple flight coordinations.

Dr. Yongmin Zhong is an Associate Professor in the School of Engineering in Department of Aerospace, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering at RMIT University, Australia. He is also the Program Director for the Master of Engineering (Mechanical) program. Yongmin Zhong received PhD in Aerospace Manufacturing Engineering. Dr. Yongmin Zhong research interest includes computational modelling, robotic-assisted minimally invasive surgery, medical robotics, robotics and automation, vehicle navigation, optimal estimation and control, virtual reality and haptics.

Dr. Li Hua is an Associate Professor in the School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is working as a Vice President of Association for Computational Mechanics since 2011. He received his B.Sc and M.Eng degrees in Engineering Mechanics from Wuhan University of Technology, P.R.C., in 1982 and 1987, respectively. Dr. Hua obtained his Ph.D degree in Mechanical Engineering from the National University of Singapore in 1999. Dr. Hua worked as Assistant Professor in the same university. Dr. Li Hua's research interest includes Multiphysics Modeling of Soft Matters (smart hydrogel in BioMEMS and biological cell in microscale fields), development of highly efficient numerical computational methodology (meshless & multiscale algorithms), simulation of sustainable energy (building energy efficiency and fuel cell system) and structural dynamics (high-speed rotating shell and composite materials structure).

Dr. Ying Tan is a full Professor and PhD advisor in Department of Intelligence Science at the School of Electronics Engineering and Computer Science of Peking University, and Director of Computational Intelligence Laboratory at Peking University. Ying received his B.Eng, M.S., and PhD from Southeast University, in 1985, 1988, and 1997, respectively. He is the inventor of Fireworks Algorithm (FWA). He is an IEEE senior member and a member of Emergent Technologies Technical Committee (ETTC) of IEEE Computational Intelligence Society since 2010. Ying is the founder general chair of the ICSI International Conference series. He won the 2nd-Class Natural Science Award of China in 2009. Dr. Ying Tan research interests includes computational intelligence, swarm intelligence, swarm robotics, data mining, pattern recognition, intelligent information processing for information security, etc. He has published more than 260 papers in refereed journals and conferences in these areas, and authored/co-authored 10 books and 12 chapters in book, and received 4 invention patents.

Dr. Fanglin Liu is a Professor of the Institute of Technical Biology and Agriculture Engineering, Hefei Institutes of Physical Science, Chinese Academy of Science (CAS), China. Dr. Liu done his Ph.D at Institute of Plant Physiology and Ecology, Shanghai Institutes for Biological Sciences in the year 2004 and M.Sc in the year 1999 from same university. Dr. Liu worked as Associate professor of the Xishuangbanna Tropical Botanical Garden/CAS from 2004-2007. Before joining the Institute, he worked at the Research Institute of Resources Insects, Chinese Academy of Forestry (CAF). Dr. Fanglin Liu research interest includes ecology of the insect-plant-microbe interkingdom interactions and mixed society of insects and robots.

Dr. Yufei Ma is an Associate Professor in National Key Laboratory of Science and Technology at Harbin Institute of Technology, China. From September 2010 to September 2011, he spent as a visiting scholar at Rice University, USA. Dr. Ma has published more than 70 peer-reviewed papers in international reputed journals. He is also serving as an editorial board member and as a reviewer for many other journals of high repute. Dr. Yufei Ma research interests includes Optical Sensor and Optoelectronics.

Dr. Zhaohong Deng is a Professor in Department of Digital Media Technology, School of Digital Media at Jiangnan University, China. He was an Associate professor in Jiangnan University. He received his Ph.D in 2008 Artificial Intelligence, Jiangnan University, China Research interests: Fuzzy logic systems, fuzzy neural networks, fuzzy clustering, fuzzy transfer learning and their applications. Dr. Zhaohong Deng's research interest includes Artificial intelligence, Computational intelligence Machine learning, Data mining, Pattern recognition, Fuzzy inference and fuzzy modeling, intelligent decision, Clustering analysis, Feature extraction, Transfer learning, Intelligent medical diagnosis, Intelligent healthcare.

Dr. Yang Fang Chen is a Professor in the Department of Physics at National Taiwan University, Taiwan. He received his Ph.D. Degree in Physics from Purdue University at USA in the year 1984 and Bachelor degree of Physics from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in the year 1976. Dr. Chen was appointed as Associate Professor of Physics at National Taiwan University, Taiwan in 1986. Dr. Chen has been honored by several awards, including outstanding research award of NSC for three times, distinguished research fellow of NSC for two times, the Sun Yet-Sen Academic Prize, National Chair Professor of Ministry of Education of ROC, outstanding research award of the Foundation of Hou KingTe. Dr. Yang Fang Chen's current research interest includes design and fabrication of nanostructured composite materials and the studies of their electronic, optical, and magnetic properties; light emitting devices, solar cells, transistors, memories, photodetectors, spin polarized devices. He has authored or co-authored more than 500 papers in refereed journals with more than 8000 citations and several patents.
