Dr Hartel is currently Medical Director of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine and Telemedicine with Grafton City, Sistersville General and Pocahontas Memorial Hospitals in West Virginia and Consultant Histopathologist at Sligo University Hospital, Sligo, Ireland. He holds an adjunct clinical faculty appointment with the Department of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at West Virginia University School of Medicine. He is active in research endeavors, particularly in the area of lung and breast tumors. He has numerous publications and has been invited to speak about his research nationally and internationally. Dr Hartel is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pathology and fellow of the Faculty of Pathology Royal College of Physicians in Ireland, College of American Pathologists and American Society of Clinical Pathology.

He is also a Medical Oncologist, M.D., Ph.D, Department of Medical Oncology, Hospital Universitari i Politècnic La Fe, Valencia, Spain.

Dr. Gaetano Bertino is a Professor in Internal Medicine Degree Course in Nursing, Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, University of Catania and Professor of Emergency Medicine in the Degree Course in Obstetrics, in Medicine and Surgery Faculty, University of Catania; Lecturer PhD "News systems of assessment and study of chronic hepatitis"; Reporter Thesis of Masters of Science in Medicine, in Nursing, in Obstetrics. He is a Member of national and international clinical trials and Member of the Italian Association for the Study of the Liver; the Italian Society of Internal Medicine. Dr. Gaetano Bertino published 186 scientific papers. Dr. Xuexia Wang is an Associate Professor in Biostatistics at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She has a strong background in statistical theory and statistical genetics. The overall goal of her research is to understand how genetic variation contributes to the etiology of complex diseases. Her primary objective is to develop statistical methods and computational tools for identifying and characterising genetic variants that influence susceptibility to complex traits. Her research work involves developing powerful statistical methods for gene-based association analysis, analysis of admixed populations such as African Americans, algorithms for detection of copy number variations, and analysis of the next-generation sequencing data.

Dr. Vianey Rodriguez is an Associate Professor at Medical School of UNAM, Mexico and works also an active Researcher, recognized by the National System of Researchers of Mexico. Her areas of expertise are Human Histology, Toxicology and Lung Carcinogenesis. Currently the goal of her research is understand the role of sexual hormones mainly estrogen and progesterone in lung carcinogenesis. Her mainly goal is investigate the role of these hormones in regulate tumor microenvironment. She has numerous publications and she has been invited as an honorable speaker in national and international meetings.

Dr. Young Ho Seo is an Associate professor at College of Pharmacy, Keimyung University, Daegu, Korea. He obtained his bachelor’s degree in Chemistry along with earth system science at Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea. He then obtained his doctoral degree in Organic Chemistry at Iowa State University, Ames, IA, USA. After receiving his Ph. D in the department of chemistry at Iowa state university, he joined the institute of life sciences and department of pharmaceutical sciences as a post-doctoral associate at University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, USA. After 4 years of post-doctoral career, he joined at College of Pharmacy, Keimyung University in 2011 as an assistant professor. His research has focus on structure-based drug discovery, regarding protein homeostasis and epigenetic modifications against cancers.

Dr. Lizette Leonie Koekemoer is an Associate Professor, Wits Research Institute for Malaria, University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, South Africa and She received the Watkins-Pitchford prize for her first publication in 1998.Dr. Lizette Leonie Koekemoer obtained her PhD in 1999 at the University of the Witwatersrand working on the molecular systematics of African malaria mosquitoes and specifically the Anopheles funestus group. She participated in several University committees and is a C-rated scientist through the National Research Foundation (NRF). Dr. Lizette had supervised and co-supervised multiple post-graduate students at Hons, MSc, PhD and post-doctoral levels and has authored or co-authored over 90 scientific papers and has acted as reviewer for several scientific journals and granting agencies. The research findings have been presented at various local and international conferences. Research funding has been obtained from various local as well as international granting agencies.

Dr. Mariusz Chabowski is a Senior Assistant in Department of Surgery at 4th Military Teaching Hospital,Poland. He also is Faculty of Public Health at Wroclaw Medical University, Poland. He is a member in Polish Society of Cardiothoracic Surgeons (PTKT), European Respiratory Society (ERS) and European Society of Thoracic Surgeons (ESTS). Since 2005 Dr. Mariusz is a co-investigator of the study Molecular profile as predictive and prognostic factor in non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) treated with preoperative chemotherapy (Alimta and cisplatin) H3E-PL-S051 by Eli Lilly company.

Dr. Xiyun Deng is a Professor, Department of Pathology, Hunan Normal University Medical College, China. Dr. Xiyun Deng received his M.S. from Cancer Research Institute, Central South University in Pathophysiology/Cancer Biology in 1994 and his Ph.D. from the same Institute in 2006. He completed his post-doctoral visiting scholarship at the US National Institutes of Health between 1997 and 1999 and his post-doctoral training at Wayne State University and Ohio State University between 2001 and 2005. Dr. Deng joined the Translational Research Center at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston in 2007 as a research scientist and was promoted to Assistant Professor in 2010.

Dr. Zhuchu Chen is the Director and Professor of Key Laboratory of Cancer Proteomics of Chinese Ministry of Health, XiangYa Hospital, Central South University, China. He is also Director of Hunan Engineering Laboratory for Structural Biology and Drug Design and State Local Joint Engineering Laboratory for Anticancer Drugs, Xiangya Hospital, Central South University, China.He was a First Award of Hunan Medicine and Health (2004): cancer proteomic research and establishment of proteome technologand The Second Award of Human Medicine and Health (2004): cloning and function analysis of cancer related genes.

Dr. Yi-Ran Cai is an Associate Professor of Pathology, Beijing Chest Hospital, Capital Medical University, grew up in China and received his Bachelor's degree from Shandong Medical University in 2000 in China. From 2000 through 2005, he worked at Qilu hospital affiliated to Shandong Medical University as a pathologist and researcher at Department of Pathology. During these five years, he studied on multidrug-resistance and carcinogenesis of lung cancer and breast cancer. In the meantime, he also finished his resident training on surgical pathology. After he obtained his M.D degree from Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College in 2008, he joined Beijing Chest Hospital. From 2010 to 2012, Yi-Ran Cai joined the department of pathology at M.D Anderson Cancer Center as a visiting scholar and was taught by Dr. Wistuba and Moran to study on lung cancer. Until now, Yi-Ran Cai has been appointed as professor and director of department of pathology in Beijing Chest Hospital and also an editorial board member of World J Respiratory. His research has also been funded by Beijing Foundation for Distinguished Scientists (2009) and awards from the Beijing Board of Health (2009 and 2014).

Dr. Xianquan Zhan is a Professor at Xiangya Hospital of Central South University in China, the European EPMA National Representative in China, Associate Editors of BMC Genomics and of BMC Medical Genomics.Dr. Zhan received his undergraduate and graduate training in the fields of preventive medicine and epidemiology and statistics at the West China University of Medical Sciences in China. He received his post-doctoral training in oncology and cancer proteomics for two years at the Cancer Research Institute of Human Medical University in China. In 2001, he went to the University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) in USA, where he was a post-doctoral researcher and focused on mass spectrometry and cancer proteomics. Then, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor of Neurology, UTHSC in 2005. He moved to the Cleveland Clinic in USA as a Project Scientist/Staff in 2006 where he focused on the studies of eye disease proteomics and biomarkers. He returned to UTHSC as an Assistant Professor of Neurology in the end of 2007, engaging in proteomics and biomarker studies of lung diseases and brain tumors, and initiating the studies of predictive, preventive, and personalized medicine (PPPM) in cancer. In 2010, he was promoted to Associate Professor of Neurology, UTHSC. His current main research interest focuses on the studies of cancer proteomics and biomarkers, and the use of modern omics techniques and systems biology for PPPM in cancer.
