Dr. Gary D. Steinberg is a Professor and Vice Chairman of The University of Chicago Medical Center ( Department of Surgery ), Illinois, USA. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, he completed his internship and junior residency in surgery, as well as a residency in urology at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. While at Johns Hopkins, he was an American Cancer Society clinical fellow in urologic oncology. Dr. Steinberg's professional nterests include bladder cancer and other urologic malignancies, which he has lectured on around the world. Dr. Steinberg has served as the principal investigator or coinvestigator on more than 40 clinical trials that evaluated pharmaceutical entities; treatment paradigms; and procedures for bladder cancer and other malignancies. He has authored or co-authored more than 100 articles in journals such as Journal of Urology, Urology, and Urologic Oncology, as well as nearly 2 dozen chapters for medical textbooks.

Dr. Peter H. Norman is a Professor in the Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine as well as the Division of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at the MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Norman has extensive experience with both oncology and anesthesiology, including thoracic anesthesia, pharmacology control, and cancer outcome studies. Dr. Norman is noted as an authority on the subject in the United States and Canada, and is a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada. In 2000, Dr. Norman has also received a Golden Apple Award for teaching at Baylor. In 1977, Dr. Norman received his medical degree at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine. He completed his internship at St. Joseph’s Health Center, and his anesthesiology residency with various Toronto Hospitals. He then completed a clinical fellowship in thoracic and vascular medicine with Toronto General Hospital. Dr. Norman is co-author of over 20 articles involving anesthetic treatments. From 2003 to 2009, he was clinical investigator of a research trial on effects on blood loss, pulmonary function, immediate outcome, postoperative pain, chronic pain and survival.

Dr. Ernest Greene is a Professor of Psychology, University of Southern California, USA. He received his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Oregon, specializing in behavioral neuroscience. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA before joining the faculty of the Psychology Department at the University of Southern California. The is an Elected Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society and three Divisions of the American Psychological Association. His current research uses psychophysics methodology to study shape and pattern recognition. He has two patents on shape and pattern encoding for machine vision, and is especially interested in neuromorphic modeling of retinal mechanisms.

Dr. Alparslan is a Professor of Anesthesiology at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University and Vice Chair for The Department of Outcomes Research and General Anesthesia, Anesthesiology Institute, Cleveland Clinic, OH, USA. Dr. Alparslan esearch Interests include Post surgical chronic pain, Nausea and vomiting, Perioperative pain management, Outcome studies. Acute pain management and post surgical chronic pain is one of his areas of interest and he has conducted numerous clinical studies on the role of gabapentin in the peri-operative setting. He is the author of more than 100 peer reviewed papers including a landmark paper on post operative nausea and vomiting (New England Journal of Medicine).

Dr. Alfio Ferlito is a Professor and Chairman of ENT Clinic at the University of Udine School of Medicine from 1997. Dr. Ferlito was Director of the Surgical Sciences Department at the same University from 2003 to 2009. He graduated in medicine at the University of Bologna in 1968. He completed his residence programme in otolaryngology and subsequently in pathology. He worked at the ENT Department of Padua University from 1970 to 1997. Professor Ferlito has collaborated in writing articles, editorials, commentaries, letters to the editor, special issues, book chapters and books with 516 international experts. His chief interests is the promotion of international cooperation in head and neck surgery, oncology and cancer research.

Dr. Dominic Poyle Lu is Clinical Professor of Oral Medicine and the Course Director of the selective program of Pain and Anxiety Control at University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine. He was the Director of Medical & Dental Externship education, and Chief of Special Care Division of Dentistry at Lehigh Valley Hospital-Penn state University college of medicine. Dr. Lu received his B.A degree from soochow University and his diploma in acupuncture at the present-Day Institute Chinese medicine in Hong Kong. Dr. Lu's Research interests mainly focus in the field of pain management, integrative medicine, complementary and alternative medicine, behavioral management, acupuncture and moxibustion, clinical hypnosis, oral medicine, and clinical dentistry.

Dr. Jaime Ruiz-Tovar is a Professor of Surgery at University Rey Juan Carlos, Madrid, Spain. He is a General and Digestive Surgeon at University Hospital Rey Juan Carlos (Madrid-Spain), where he is specialized in bariatric surgery. He is also a Secretary of the Surgical Infections Section of the Spanish Surgical Society and Head of the Bariatric Surgery section of the ERAS-Spain group (Enhanced Recovery after Surgery). Dr. Tovar actually leads several investigational projects focused on bariatric surgery and surgical infections. Dr. Tovar's main research interests focused on Sleeve gastrectomy, Metabolic effect of bariatric surgery, Electrical neurostimulation as alternative bariatric procedures, Prophylactic measures against surgical site infection.

Dr. Carlo Valerio is a Medical Doctor & a Pediatrician with a 20-year experience in neonatal intensive care at University Hospital Of Siena, Siena, Italy. Carlo Valerio Bellieni has a relevant story of teaching in the field of pain treatment and pediatrics, since 2004. He has been invited as a speaker in many Italian and foreign congresses, to deal with pediatric pain and environmental hazards in pediatric settings. He has performed scientific research in the field of pediatric analgesia, and environmental hazards, producing new analgesic treatments and pain assessment tools. He has written many scientific papers with a high total impact factor and Hirsh score, mainly in the field of pediatric analgesic treatment. He also wrote several books, chapters of books and encyclopedias. He owns 2 Italian and 1 European patents of medical tools. He is member of several international and national scientific associations and serves as a reviewer or member of the editorial board of almost 50 international scientific journals.

Dr. Manuel Angel Gomez Rios is a Professor of Master of Clinical Management of Difficult Airway and Ventilation, Alcala University, Spain. He is also a Specialist in Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at Complejo Hospitalario Universitario de A Coruna, A Coruna, Spain. Dr. Rios earned his Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Santiago de Compostela. He is a Consultant Anesthesiologist of Spain, author of several publications indexed on PuBMed, member of Editorial Board and peer-reviewer of several international journals. His research experience covers 10 years in tertiary care centers. His 50 peer reviewed international publications covered many areas in clinical research. Dr. Rios is Head of the research group "Anesthesiology and pain management" of the Institute for Biomedical Research of La Coruna (INIBIC). Dr. Rios's main research interests focus on clinical trials, clinical monitoring, difficult airway, postoperative acute pain, perioperative medicine, neuropathic pain, pediatric anesthesia, obstetric anesthesia, anesthesia for the high-risk patient and anesthesia and uncommon diseases.

Dr. Hauck began her working career as a molecular biologist, earning her PhD in Biology from MIT. After several years as a basic research scientist, Dr. Hauck attended the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic medicine, earning her DO in 2003. After her residency in Anesthesiology at Temple University Hospital, she joined the faculty in the department of Anesthesiology at the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. Since joining the faculty, Dr. Hauck has taken a leadership role in the Preadmission Testing department. In addition, she has taken an active role in research while at Temple, and is now the Associate Vice Chair of Research in her department. Dr. Hauck's research interests include topics related to preoperative evaluation and care of the surgical patient. She is particularly interested in following and creating algorithms for consistent patient evaluation, the use of risk calculators for early identification of the high risk patient and the use of interventions early in the surgical patient pathway for health optimization on day of surgery. Other research interests include identification of patient and surgical risk factors for postoperative respiratory failure after robotic surgery, and identification of risk factors for hyperkalemia in surgical trauma patients requiring massive transfusion.

Dr. Andre Ewers is an Executive Director and Assistant Professor of Institute of Nursing Science and Practice at Paracelsus Medical University, Salzburg, Austria, since 2012. Dr. Andre Ewers began his career as a specialized nurse practitioner for intensive care and anesthesia. From 1986 to 1996, he worked at maximum-care hospitals in the surgical wards of different ICUs, most recently as the head nurse at a cardiac intensive care unit. After the study of nursing science from 1997 to 2002, he worked as a research associate in various studies on the subject of pain, and since 2007, he was employed as a research associate at the Institute of Nursing Science and Practice of the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg, Austria. In 2009, he earned his PhD on the topic of postoperative pain. In addition, in 2016, he also took on the management of professional development in nursing at the University Hospital, Salzburg. He is a member of several editorial boards and the honor society Sigma Theta Tau International, Lambda Rho-at-Large Chapter, Jacksonville, Florida, USA. Dr. Ewers wrote a number of nationally and internationally published articles. His interests are in particular in the field of acute pain, postoperative confusion and evidence-based nursing.

Dr. John Patrick F Bebawy, M.D is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology & Neurological Surgery at Northwestern University, Chicago. His clinical and research interests and expertise relate to Neuro-anesthesia, with a focus on interventions that affect cerebral blood flow and cerebrovascular hemodynamics. Dr. Bebawy completed his Anesthesiology residency and Neurosurgical Anesthesiology fellowship training at Northwestern in 2008, where he is currently faculty and Program Director of the Neurosurgical Anesthesiology Fellowship Program. He is a member of many national and international societies for the advancement of Neurosurgical Anesthesiology, has published widely on various topics in the field, and has spoken at many meetings throughout the world on areas within his expertise. Dr. Bebawy is devoted and committed to the betterment of patient safety through individualized and compassionate clinical care, as well as through his contribution to the scientific community.

Dr. Gunilla Brodda Jansen is a Associate Professor at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden and Specialist in Rehabilitation Medicin and Pain Management. Dr. Jansen works clinically at PBM Sweden, and is the Head of Research and Quality. She received her medical degree from Karolinska Hospital and PhD from Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. She has also received ASTRA Pain Award. Between 2005-2007 she was Head of the Rehabilitation Department at former RCT in Copenhagen to initiate pain rehabilitation for torture survivors and was a member of the Medical Expert Group within the Swedish Whiplash commission. Dr. Jansen's research area mainly focuses on Pain physiology, Her experience is within persistent pain with or without psychiatric co-morbidity.

Dr. Somchai Amornyotin is the chair of Anesthesiology division at Siriraj GI Endoscopy Center. Dr. Somchai was graduated and became Faculty of Medicine in Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University in 1989. He has practiced anesthesia for gastrointestinal endoscopy since 2002. He was the committee member of Siriraj Gastrointestinal Endoscopy Center, More than 50 of his articles have been published in Thai and international medical journals. Dr. Somchai Amornyotin research interests includes Anesthesia for gastrointestinal endoscopy, Target controlled infusion (TCI)Total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA), Sedation for pediatric patients, Anesthesia outside the operating room, Ambulatory anesthesia, etc. His future plan is to improve knowledge and skill in anesthesia/sedation for gastrointestinal endoscopy, anesthesia outside operating room, ambulatory anesthesia, acute pain management and pediatric sedation.

Dr. Donald R Mehlisch, received a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Iowa, College of Dentistry and a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from the University of Minnesota, College of Medicine. He performed his residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and received a Master of Science in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery following a Fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. Dr. Mehlisch has held positions as an Associate Professor, College of Dentistry, University of Minnesota, Adjunct Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the University of Texas Dental Branch in Houston, Texas and Clinical Professor, Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, College of Dentistry, Baylor University in Dallas, Texas. A Diplomat of several medical and dental boards he has published over 50 articles and book chapters and participated in more than 425 clinical research trials as an investigator, medical monitor, project manager, or consultant. His primary research interests have been in all disciples of acute and chronic pain. Dr. Mehlisch has lectured in 36 countries and participated in a number of medical outreach programs to Haiti and Central America. During his 40 years of clinical research experience he has served on the Scientific and Medical Advisory Boards of 15 companies and participated in numerous pharmaceutical and medical device presentations at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA). He remains active as a Consultant to pharmaceutical companies in the United States and Europe.

Dr. W. David Stoll, MD, FASA is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina as well as an associate faculty member within the College of Graduate Studies. He has functioned as the Division Chief of Liver Transplant Anesthesia since 2010. He received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina in Columbia, SC and completed his internship and residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, SC. Dr. Stoll’s clinical and research interests are focused on abdominal transplantation, head and neck surgery, goal-directed/ERAS perioperative approaches to patient care, perioperative risk modeling.

Dr. A Sassan Sabouri is an Assistant Professor of Anesthesia, Critical Care and Pain Medicine at Harvard Medical School, Boston, USA. He received his Master Degree in Medicine from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences (SBMU), Tehran/Iran. He received Outstanding CA-III Resident Award from New York State University at Buffalo, Department of Anesthesiology in 2011, Partners in Excellence Service Award from Partners Healthcare, MGH/DACCPM, Orthopedic Anesthesia Service in 2013 and many other awards. Dr. Sassan Sabouri's research interests includes in Ambulatory Care, Anesthesia and ICU Care, Antegrade Guide Wire insertion in the Management of Difficult Airway, etc.

Dr. Ghinolfi Davide is an attending surgeon of general surgery and liver Transplantation division at University of Pisa Medical School Hospital, Italy. Dr. Ghinolfi Davide received his PhD in Management of organ and tissue transplantation from University of Genoa, Italy. He is Co-investigator of explanted liver and ex-vivo pancreatic specimen evaluation by 7 Tesla MRI – the EXLIPSE study, principle investigator of evaluation of the use of nanoparticles in explanted liver undergone ex-situ normothermic perfusion. Dr. Ghinolfi Davide received ILTS Young investigator awards in 2014 and 2016.
