Dr. Ernest Greene is a Professor of Psychology, University of Southern California, USA. He received his doctorate in Psychology from the University of Oregon, specializing in behavioral neuroscience. He did a postdoctoral fellowship at the Brain Research Institute at UCLA before joining the faculty of the Psychology Department at the University of Southern California. The is an Elected Fellow of the National Academy of Neuropsychology, a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, and a Fellow of the Psychonomic Society and three Divisions of the American Psychological Association. His current research uses psychophysics methodology to study shape and pattern recognition. He has two patents on shape and pattern encoding for machine vision, and is especially interested in neuromorphic modeling of retinal mechanisms.
