Dr. Frederick J Passman is a President in Biodeterioration Control Associates, Princeton, New Jersey, USA. Dr. Passman is an ASTM Fellow, STLE Fellow and Certified Metalworking Fluids Specialist with 40 years experience in environmental-industrial microbiology. Since 1973, Dr. Passman has conducted research and consulted to government and private industry on topics as diverse as composting municipal sewage sludge, U.S. EPA criteria for various groups of toxic substances in fresh-water systems, microbially enhanced oil recovery, and microbial contamination control in industrial process-fluids. Dr. Passman offers a complete range of consulting services relating to microbial contamination control in the metalworking, fuel, petroleum production and water treatment (heat exchange) industries. Dr. Passman has twice received STLE's Wilber Deutsch Memorial Award for writing excellence, is a recipient of STLE's P.M. Ku Award and ASTM's Award of Merit. He has more than 40 publications to his name.

Prof. James P. Chambers is a Professor in Department of Biology at University of Texas at San Antonio. He holds a Doctorate degree in Biochemistry from the Department of Biochemistry, The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio (1975). After obtaining his Ph.D., Prof. Chambers was an NIH postdoctoral training fellow in The Department of Biochemistry (1976-1978), The University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, Pittsburgh. He served as interim Director of the Division of Life Sciences (1991-1992, currently the Department of Biology). In 1992, Dr. Chambers implemented the first free-standing doctoral degree program at The University of Texas at San Antonio (a Ph.D. in Biology with an emphasis in Neurobiology), and served as Supervising Professor for its first two Ph.D. degree recipients. Dr. Chambers has worked on a wide array of sponsored research projects over the past 30 years, is a recipient of numerous research awards and has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals. Prof. Chamber's research focuses on Biochemistry (enzymology, glycoconjugate characterization, inborn errors of metabolism, biodetection, biosensor sensing element development, gene expression in Alzheimer’s Disease, chip-based sensor development, SELEX, translational science, and applications).

Prof. Francesco Savino is a Professor in Physiology of Nutrition and of Pediatrics at School of Pediatrics of University of Turin since 1999. He is also Chief of Unit S.S.D. Sub intensive care of early infancy since 2016 at Regina Margherita” Children’s Hospital of Turin, City of Health and Science in Turin. Prof. Savino is also Medical Doctor and Pediatrician since April 1993 at the Department of Pediatric and Adolescence - “Regina Margherita” Children’s Hospital of Turin, where he attends to infants with nutritional and gastrointestinal disorders. He received his Ph.D in Pediatrics at the University of Trieste. Prof. Francesco Savino's research interests include minor digestive problems in infancy: colic, gastroesophageal reflux and metabolism metabolism of early childhood, in particular hormones such as Leptin, IGF-1, Ghrelin, Adiponectin of breast-fed and formula-fed infants. He also directs Project on gut microbiota in colicky infants which focuses on treating with probiotics breastfed colicky infants.

Prof. Kwang Poo Chang is a Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Chicago Medical School. Prof. Chang received his Ph.D in 1972 in cell biology/endosymbiosis from University of Guelph, Ontario, Canada. He was a postdoctoral fellow in parasitology at Rockefeller University in New York City from 1972 to 1974. He held the position of research associate from 1974 through 1976, assistant professor from 1976 to 1979, and associate professor from 1979 through 1983 at Rockefeller University. Prof. Chang received IRMA T. HIRSCHL CAREER SCIENTIST AWARD in New York City (1977-1982) and HONORARY PROFESSOR - Chinese Academy of Preventive Medicine, Beijing(1996). Prof. Kwang Poo Chang's research interest includes to study molecular structures and biological functions of extrachromosomal self-replicating entities in eukaryotic cells. Biological models studied include parasitic protozoa in mammalian cells, endosymbiotic bacteria in insects and protozoa, and extrachromosomal circular DNA molecules amplified from chromosomes in response to environmental stress.

Dr. Luis F Diaz is a President at CalRecovery Inc, Concord, California, USA. He is also Chair of Working Group on Developing Countries, IWWG and also Visiting Professor, School of Civil Engineering at University of Leeds, UK. Dr. Diaz's awarded with Nobel Peace Prize, co-recipient with Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) and Mr. Al Gore, 45th Vice President of the United States, 2007. He was honored with Recipient, Dean College of Engineering Service Award, San Jose State University, 1998 and Recipient, 1982 Engineering Award of Distinction, San Jose State University. He received his Ph.D. in the Department of Environmental Engineering, University of California, Berkeley.

Dr. Thaddeus Chukwuemeka Ezeji is an Associate Professor in Department of Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University and Ohio State. Dr. Ezeji received his B.S. in Food Science and Technology at University of Nigeria Nsukka, M.S. in Food Technology at University of Ibadan, and Ph.D. in Microbiology at the University of Rostock, Germany. His 6 years postdoctoral and Research Assistant Professor efforts at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign focused on fermentation technologies, metabolic engineering of solventogenic (butanologenic) Clostridium species, and downstream processing of fermentation products. In 2007, Dr. Ezeji joined the Animal Science Department at The Ohio State University. Dr. Thaddeus Chukwuemeka Ezeji research interests includes isolation, identification and characterization of microorganisms of biotechnological importance, pre treatment of lignocellulosic biomass and conversion into biofuels and chemicals, development of superior microbial strains for efficient metabolism of lignocellulosic hydrolysates, and design of advanced fermentation systems.

Dr. Jianxun Jim Song is an Associate Professor in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology, The Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine, Hershey, USA. He completed his M.Sc degree in 1993 and Ph.D in Immunology from The Third Military Medical University, China in 2001. Dr. Song honored with AAI Junior Faculty Travel Awards (Seattle, Baltimore, Boston, Honolulu, and Pittsburgh) and Dean’s Awards for Excellence in Teaching (Penn State University College of Medicine in 2014; AAI Laboratory Travel Grant in 2015. Dr. Jianxun Jim Song's research interests include T cells, stem cells, cell differentiation, cancer, infectious diseases, autoimmunity, immunotherapy, Costimulation in T lymphocyte memory, Regulation of differentiation of T lymphocytes from pluripotent stem cells.
