Dr. David Reznik is Chief of the Dental Service for the Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. He also serves as Director of the Oral Health Center of Grady’s Infectious Disease Program, a program he founded 23 years ago.

Dr. David Reznik is Chief of the Dental Service for the Grady Health System in Atlanta, Georgia. He also serves as Director of the Oral Health Center of Grady’s Infectious Disease Program, a program he founded 23 years ago. He has been providing oral health care services for people living with HIV disease in the Atlanta metropolitan area for over twenty-eight years. He is founder and President of the HIVdent (HIV Dent Alliance), a not-for-profit organization of concerned healthcare providers committed to assuring access to high quality oral health care services for people living with HIV disease. Dr. Reznik has lectured and published extensively on oral health concerns for people living with HIV disease. Dr. Reznik is also the associate director of the Lutheran Medical Center AEGD Program in Georgia. Dr. Reznik was a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on HIV/AIDS for four and a half years and served as Chair of the Treatment and Care and Domestic sub-committees during his tenure. He was honored at the 2008 Ryan White All Grantees meeting with the Health Resources Services Administration – HIV/AIDS Bureau - Associate Administrator’s Award: “For his years of passion, dedication commitment and national leadership on HIV oral health care, and for serving as a champion for national health care provider education." In 2014, Dr. Reznik was named one of Atlanta’s Healthcare Heroes by the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Dr. David Reznik research interests includes Epidemiology of candidiasis in HIV+ patients, treatment and typing of human papilloma virus-related oral diseases, metagenomics of HIV-related periodontal disease, HIV/AIDS Screening in the Dental Setting.

Father Clark received his Ph.D. from Loyola University of Chicago and is author of numerous articles in medical and bioethics journals. He is also author of To Treat or Not to Treat: the Ethical Methodology of Richard A. McCormick as Applied to Treatment Decisions for Handicapped Newborns published by Creighton University Press and Death With Dignity: Ethical and Practical Considerations for Caregivers of the Terminally Ill, published by University of Chicago Press. Prof. Clark was honored with Michael J Morris Grant for Scholarly Research for the year (2011-2012). Prof. Peter A Clark research interests include medical futility, pain management, prejudice in the medical profession, the medical use of marijuana, tube feedings and PVS patients, male circumcision and HIV/AIDS, face transplantation, and the Ashley treatment, etc.
