He was completed his B.Sc and M.D degrres from Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Prof. Dixon received Award of Merit in Resident Research, Division of General Surgery in 1997 and Award for Outstanding Teaching, Division of General Surgery in 2009. Prof. Elijah Dixon's research interests focuses on innovations in surgical treatment as well as clinical epidemiology and health services research.These research activities have been supported by career awards from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Alberta Heritage Medical Research Foundation, and have produced around 200 peer-reviewed publications from this work.
