Prof. Luca Cicalese is a Professor in the Department of Surgery at University of Texas Medical Branch, Galveston, Texas, USA. Prof. Cicalese is also Director of Clinical Fellowship in Transplantation University of Texas Mediacl Branch, Director of PhD Program, University of Palermo and Director of Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Texas, USA. He has been Director of the Intestinal and Pediatric Liver Transplant Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago. In 2002, he became the Section Chief of the Liver and Intestinal Transplantation Program at the University of Massachusetts. Prof. Cicalese was honored with "Best Career of Italian Scientists in the USA" award by the Italian Cultural and Community Center during the annual Gala event, Houston Texas, USA. Prof. Luca Cicalese's research interests includes Transplantation, Cancer, Organ regeneration and role of immunosuppressive drugs on Neurodegenerative diseases.

Prof. Elijah Dixon is a Professor in the Department of Surgery, Oncology and Community Health Sciences, Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary, Alberta, Canada. He is currently Chief of the Section of General Surgery, Calgary Zone in Calgary, Alberta. In 2014 - 2015 he was the President of the Americas Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association and has also served as President of the Canadian Association of General Surgeons. Prof. Dixon trained at the University of Manitoba, University of Calgary and University of Toronto in HPB surgery. He was completed his B.Sc and M.D degrres from Faculty of Medicine, University of Manitoba, Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Prof. Dixon received Award of Merit in Resident Research, Division of General Surgery in 1997 and Award for Outstanding Teaching, Division of General Surgery in 2009. Prof. Elijah Dixon's research interests focuses on innovations in surgical treatment as well as clinical epidemiology and health services research.These research activities have been supported by career awards from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Alberta Heritage Medical Research Foundation, and have produced around 200 peer-reviewed publications from this work.

Prof. Marco Caricato is a Professor of Surgery at University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome, Italy. Prof. Caricato is also a Head of Geriatric Surgery Unit at Policlinico University Campus Bio-Medico of Rome. He graduated in 1985, post graduated in the Department of Hepato-biliary Surgery from Catholic University of Rome in 1996, and started his professional activity working in the developing field of organ transplantation for his first 10 years. Participated in the first liver, lung, heart and small bowel transplantation in Italy. Since 1995 most of his clinical and scientific activity is devoted to colorectal surgery. Prof. Marco Caricato's research interests includes mainly colorectal surgery and surgical oncology.

Dr. Jorge Alberto Ortiz is a Director in the Department of Surgical Transplantation at the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA. Dr. Ortiz's is an Associate Program Director Surgical Residency at University of Toledo. He is a Director of the Department of Liver Transplantation and Hepatobiliary Surgery Previously (2008 - 2013), Albert Einstein Medical Center, Philadelphia, PA. He completed his Bachelor of Science at New York University and University of Miami Medical Center, Jackson Memorial Hospital, Organ Transplantation Miami. Dr. Jorge Alberto Orti's research interests includes Hepatopancreaticobiliary surgery, kidney transplantation, laparoscopy, general surgery,surgical education.

Prof. Giampiero Campanelli is a Professor of Surgery at University of Insubria. Prof. Campanelli is also Chief of Department of General Surgery in Itstituto Clinico Sant’Ambrogio, Milanoat, Italy. He is also Chairman of First World Conference on abdominal Wall Hernia surgery, President of European Hernia Society, Honorary President of AMHES Africa, Middle East, Hernia Society. He was awarded by Giuseppe Guidetti award for the best scientific contribution to the 1st National Congress of the Italian Society of Geriatric Surgery in 1987 and Asia-Pacific hernia Society, Honorary Membership for being dedicated to the advancement in the field of herniology, Singapore in 2011. Prof. Giampiero Campanelli's research interests includes minimal invasive surgery for abdominal hernia, in addition to the routine abdominal surgery. He has developed new approaches and surgical methods for reconstruction and repair of the abdominal wall MILA,HUG, PIPS (pubic inguinal pain syndrome), floppy abdomen post partum, THOPA).

Dr. Antonio Manenti is an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Modena from 1984, Italy. Dr. Manenti completed his University degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Parma (Italy) on november 1964, Post-graduated training in General Surgery at the University of Modena (Italy) 1965-1970 and Post-gratuated training in Thoracic Surgery at the University of Bologna (Italy) 1972-73. Dr. Manenti held with World Health Organisation Fellow for Thoracic Surgery in London (UK) February-april 1972. Dr. Antonio Manenti's research interests includes lung tumors, coronary artery pathology, tricuspid valve anatomy, portal hypertension, biliary tract surgery, tumour immunology.

Dr. Giovanni Conzo is an Associate Professor of Department of Surgery and Consultant Surgeon at the VII Division of General Surgery and Endocrine Surgery, School of Medicine and Surgery at Second University of Naples, Italy. He is specialist in General Surgery and Thoracic Surgery and he began his career in 1990 as an assistant surgeon at the Institute of Surgical Semeiotics. Dr. Conzo's accomplished his surgical training at the second University of Naples. He later attended several training periods at international referral centres for Upper GI-, HPB- , and liver transplantation surgery as well as for laparoscopic surgery. Dr. Giovanni Conzo's research interest focused largely in the field of digestive pathology and endocrinology, as well as minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Simone Mocellin is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Department of Surgery Oncology and Gastroenterology (DiSCOG) of the University of Padova, and Surgeon at the Surgical Oncology Unit of the Istituto Oncologico Veneto, Istituto di Ricovero e cura of Scientific Character, Italy. He received his Doctorate Degree in Oncology and Surgical Oncology in 2004. Dr. Simone Mocellin's research interests includes General surgery and surgical oncology (cutaneous melanoma, surgery for soft tissue sarcomas, cytoreductive surgery for peritoneal carcinomatosis, gastrointestinal surgery, breast surgery) and Clinical and translational research in surgical oncology, meta-analysis in oncology.

Dr. Zhiwei Huang is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering at the National University of Singapore, Singapore. He received his Ph.D in 1999 from Nanyang Technological University and M.Sc in 1990 from Fujian Normal University. Dr. Zhiwei Huang's research interests includes Biomedical Optical Spectroscopy (Raman, Fluorescence and Diffuse Reflectance) and Imaging in Biomedicine, Advanced Fiber-Optic Endoscopic Imaging, Nonlinear Fluorescence Lifetime Imaging. Endoscopic imaging, particularly centering on the development of nonlinear optical microscopy imaging techniques (coherent Raman scattering microscopy and multiphoton microscopy) and their applications in label-free biomolecular imaging, as well as novel endoscopic imaging and spectroscopy, enabling early detection and diagnosis of epithelial precancer and early cancer at endoscopy.
