Dr. Ananda Mitra is serving as Professor for Department of Communication at Wake Forest University in North Carolina, USA. Dr. Mitra completed his PhD in Speech Communication (1992) from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. Dr. Ananda Mitra’s expertise makes him the go-to person for the latest trends in social media and how 'narbs'-the personal details such as residence, age, sex and interests that users reveal on social media sites-are used. He is the author of a series of books on digital media. His area of expertise includes Technology and Communication, Technology and Society, Computers in Education and Training, Computer Use in Data Collection, Employment in U.S. and India, Cultural Sustainability, Communication Technology and Evaluation, Communication and Public Culture, Indian Culture and Communication Practices. Dr. Mitra focuses his research on the role of new digital technologies in shaping everyday life practices that range from the use of computers in teaching to the way in which the marginalized can gain a voice through the use of Internet. Originally from India, Mitra also researches the social and cultural issues related to South Asia, which also provides the foundation for his first year seminar course: South Asia, Communication and Culture.

Dr. Clark Callahan is Associate Director for Undergraduate Studies in the School of Communications. Dr. Callahan received a Ph.D. in communication from the University of Oklahoma (2002), an M.A. from West Texas A&M (1995), and a B.A. in communications from BYU (1995). Dr. Callahan teaches courses in intercultural and international communication, theory, and research methods. He formerly taught at Penn State York and the University of South Dakota. His research centers on theories of intercultural adaptation, historical diffusion of innovations, and media ecology. He has served as editor for Comparative Cultures and Civilizations for Hampton Press and is an editorial board member for several other communication journals. As a specialist in communication leadership and organizational communication, he has consulted for the United States Department of Defense, the Internal Revenue Service, the state of South Dakota, and multiple regional and local governmental organizations. He has received top research awards through the National Communication Association and the International Communication Association. He has been recognized for teaching distinction by the International Communication Association, the University of Oklahoma, and the University of South Dakota.

Dr. Sharad Shandilya is the Director, Science and Technology of Global Health and Education Inc., San Francisco Bay Area, United States of America. He obtained Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy in Computer Science from Virginia Commonwealth University. He was Kirschstein Fellow in Bioinformatics from University of Michigan. He then started working as Manager in Clinical Data at Ettrick Health and Research Center, Petersburg VA. He worked as Research Associate and Research Specialist in Department of Computer Science at Virginia Commonwealth University, Richmond. Dr. Shandilya also worked as Senior Product Manager in Algorithms and Analytics at BidStream and Director of Research and Analytics in Omnicom Group, NY. Dr. Shandilya's Research interests include Machine Learning, Statistics, Data Mining, Pattern Recognition, Time-Series, Predictive Modeling, Optimization, Nonlinear Methods, Biomedical Signal Processing, Adaptive Systems/Algorithms, Decision Support, Big Data Solutions, Technical/Quantitative Product Development.

Dr. Ali Abdul-Aziz is working as an Associate Professor from Aerospace Engineering Department at College of Applied Engineering, Sustainabilty and Technology (Kent State University). He is responsible for developing/teaching courses in Aerospace Engineering, Aircraft Propulsion and thermal sciences. He worked as Senior Research scientist (Duel Post) from 1985 - 2016 at NASA Glenn Research Center and Cleveland State University. He completed his BS, MS, PhD from Cleveland State University, Ohio. His research interest is in the areas of measurements and instrumentation, digital image processing and non destructive evaluations and structural engineering.

Dr. Jose S Torrecilla is working as an Associate Professor in Chemical Engineering Department at Complutense University of Madrid (UCM). Dr. Torrecilla worked as Senior Researcher in Spanish Ministry of Education and Science. He received his Ph.D. with honors in Chemical Engineering from UCM in 2000. In 2005, he obtained his Advanced Technician in Occupational Risk Prevention Degree. His research interests include modeling complex systems and designing chemometric tools for many fields such as health, engineering, and food technology is the main focus of his research. He collaborates with many universities and national and international research groups.

Dr. Fernando Buarque de Lima Neto has a Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence from University of London (2002), Diploma of Imperial College London on Artificial Neural Networks (2002), Masters in Computer Science from Federal University of Pernambuco (1998) and a degree in Computer Science Catholic University of Pernambuco (1990). He also studied Philosophy of Science, Neuroscience, and Administration. Dr. Lima Neto is an Associate Professor at the University of Pernambuco, IEEE Senior Member, Humboldt Fellow and Accredited Researcher by the Brazilian Council of Research. His current research focuses at (1) Computational Intelligence (Evolutionary, Social, and Hybrid Metaheuristics), (2) Complex and Stochastic Modeling/Simulation, and (3) Intelligent and Semiotic Decision Support Systems. For the past 15 years, he led or was member of projects funded by CNPq, CAPES, FINEP, FACEPE, Petrobras, South African HESA, European Community Programs, Alexander von Humboldt Foundation among others. He is a member of several scientific organizations among them the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), the Brazilian Society of Computational Intelligence (SBIC, past president), the Computational Intelligence Society (IEEE-CIS) and the Systems, Man & Cybernetics Society (IEEE- SMC). In recent years he has committed himself to internationalization hence he co-chaired/steered several international conferences such as BRICS-CCI 2013(Recife-Brazil), BRICS-CCI 2015(Beijing-China), LA-CCI 2014(Bariloche-Argentina), LA-CCI 2015(Curitiba-Brazil), IEEE LA-CCI2016(Cartagena-Colombia) among others.

Dr. Jiachen Yang is an Associate Professor from School of Electronic Information Engineering at Tianjin University. Dr. Yang received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Communication and Information Engineering from Tianjin University, China. In 2014, he was a visiting scholar in the Department of Computer Science, School of Science at Loughborough University, UK. His research interests include biological optics, stereo vision research, pattern recognition and quality evaluation.
