Prof. Horacio L R Rilo is Professor of Surgery at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine and Director for the Pancreas Disease Center. He was tenured professor with appointments in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, Physiology, Cell Biology, Immunology, and the Bio 5 Institute for Collaborative Bio Research. Prof. Rilo is director of the Center for Cellular Transplantation in the Department of Surgery. His Research Interest includes translational research, Cellular encapsulation, Stem cell therapy, Kidney and pancreas preservation for transplantation, Advancement of islet cell transplantation for the treatment of type 1 diabetes and Chronic Pancreatitis.

Dr. Nitin Trivedi is an Associate Program Director in Internal Medicine Residency and Division Director of Endocrine and Metabolic Medicine in Saint Vincent Hospital, Worcester, MA. In the same Hospital, he is also working as an Attending Endocrinologist. Dr. Trivedi’s current major interests include inpatient management of diabetes mellitus. Dr. Trivedi had developed number of protocol to improve glycemic control of patients hospitalized at Saint Vincent Hospital. Implementation of these protocols have enabled patients to use insulin pumps and concentrated insulin during hospitalization. Dr. Trivedi is an active member of American Diabetes Association and American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists (AACE). He is a board member for the New England Chapter of AACE. He has served as the vice president and president of the New England of AACE in 2009-2010. Dr. Trivedi has won several awards including Chief’s Award from the Department of Medicine, Saint Vincent Hospital, for exemplary contributions to the Internal Medicine Residency as an Educator and role model throughout the 2007-2010 academic year, John J. McKeever Medical Educator Award, outstanding medical educator award (2007-2009), and Gilbert E. Levinson award for outstanding medical resident (2002).

Dr. E Scott Sills is Director of the Center for Advanced Genetics, California, USA. Dr. E Scott Sills was awarded the MD degree from University of Tennessee in 1992. After gynecology training at NYU Downtown Hospital, Dr. Sills completed his sub-specialty fellowship in reproductive endocrinology at Cornell University From 2008-2011, he served on the New York State Board for Medicine. Dr. Sills is Board Certified both by the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology and the National Board of Physicians & Surgeons; he holds elected Fellowships with the American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists, American College of Surgeons, and the Royal College of Physicians (Ireland). Dr. Sills is registered and/or licensed for medicine in California, New York and the United Kingdom. He also worked as a Division Director, Reproductive Endocrinology, Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology, Atlanta Medical Center; Atlanta, Georgia. His research areas are Reproductive Endocrinology & Infertility Gynecologic Surgery & Reproductive Biology.

Prof. Pietro Giorgio Calo is Professor of Clinical Methodology and General Surgery in Department of Surgical Sciences at University of Cagliari, Italy. He specialized in Surgical Oncology at the University of Cagliari (1995). He is councilor of S.I.E.C. (Italian Society of Endocrine Surgery) and the Board of Associate Professors of Surgery and Vice-President of the Club of UEC (Endocrine Surgery Unit). His research interests includes thyroid surgery, Papillary thyroid cancer, parathyroid surgery, breast surgery, endocrine surgery, central node dissection, thyroid cancer, parathyroid, central neck dissection.

Prof. Alfio Ferlito is a Professor and Chairman of the ENT Clinic at the University of Udine School of Medicine from 1997. Dr. Ferlito was Director of the Department of Surgical Sciences at the same University from 2003 to 2009. He worked as a Professor in Otolaryngology, Padua University. He graduated in medicine at the University of Bologna in 1968. He completed his Postgraduate programme in otolaryngology and subsequently in pathology. His research interests includes head and neck surgery, oncology and cancer research.

Prof. Roberto de la Plaza Llamas is Professor in Health Sciences, Department of Surgery at University of Alcala, Spain. He is also a General and Digestive Surgeon and Head of Endocrinology, Oesophageal-Gastric and Abdominal Wall Surgery Unit in Department of Surgery at Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara, Spain. He worked as a Senior Consultant in Hospital Universitario de Guadalajara. His research interests includes Oncologic surgery, Endocrine surgery, Esophagogastric Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery, Abdominal wall, Morbidity.

Dr. Jose Manuel Gomez Saez is Chief Clinician of the Department of Endocrinology, Hospital Universitario de Bellvitge at Barcelona University, Spain. Dr. Gomez Saez is also a endocrinologist working in a third level hospital as clinical doctor. His field of expertise is Endocrinology and Nutrition and into this area, thyroid, especially thyroid cancer, pituitary, parathyroid diseases and obesity. His Research Interest includes thyroid diseases, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism thyroid cancer, pituitary diseases, growth hormone deficiency, parathyroid diseases, age and endocrine glands, obesity, bariatric surgery.

Prof. Akira Sugawara is a Professor in the Department of Molecular Endocrinology, Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine, Sendai, Japan. He graduated from Tohoku University School of Medicine on 1987 (M.D.), and got Ph.D. on 1991 from Tohoku University Graduate School of Medicine. He performed Postdoctoral Fellowship in William Chin’s laboratory at the Women’s Hospital/Harvard Medical School in Boston from 1991 to 1994. His major is general internal medicine, endocrinology and metabolism and hypertension and nephrology. His research interest is 1) molecular biology of nuclear hormone receptors, 2) etiology of high blood pressure, 3) pathophysiology of diabetic nephropathy, 4) gene regulation of aldosterone synthase, and 5) epigenetics of hypertension and diabetes mellitus.

Dr. Afrozul Haq is the Director of Research & Development in Gulf Diagnostic Center Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He received his Ph.D in Chemistry from Aligarh Muslim University, India (1984). He also worked as a Professor in Dubai Medical College for Girls & Specialized Research Centre, Dubai and Head of Biochemical Diseases Investigation Laboratory, Mafraq Hospital, Abu Dhabi, UAE. He was the Principal Scientist in R & D Division, VPS Healthcare and Senior Clinical Scientist in Department of Laboratory Medicine, Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Prof. Domenico Rubello is Professor of Radioguided Surgery at the Post graduate Surgery Medical School at Padova University, Italy. He is also Professor of Nuclear Medicine at the Postgraduate Surgery Medical School at Pisa University. He worked at the Nuclear Medicine Service, Radiology Department of the Michigan University Medical Center, USA. He is Director of the Department of Imaging at Rovigo General Hospital in Veneto, Italy. His Research Interest includes PET/CT experimental research in animals and in humans, Small animal PET, Nuclear medicine, Radio-guided surgery, PET and Oncology.

Dr. Mahmoud Messerer is Associate Professor in Department of neurosurgery at Paris Sud University, France. He is also working as a Neurosurgeon in Department of neurosurgery, Centre Hospitalier Universitaire Vaudois, Suisse. He completed his training at the CHUV. He is also a founding member of a research unit on the diameter of the optic nerve and its relationship with intracranial hypertension. His research interests includes endoscopic surgery of the base of the skull, neurosurgery.
