Dr. Stanley Paul Brown is a Professor and Head of Kinesiology at Mississippi State University where his department boasts the newest Ph.D. degree in kinesiology among the member institutions of the Southeastern Conference. Dr. Brown received his Ph.D. (1989) from the University of Southern Mississippi in exercise physiology, working on the effects of resistance exercise training on central cardiac function. He was a faculty member at the University of Mississippi (89-98) and Southwest Baptist University (99-01). He then moved into administration as Department Head and Dean at various institutions of higher learning. Dr. Stanley Paul Brown's current research interest centers on the theoretical construct of the disablement process model (how one progresses from pathology to disability) with regard to functional loss with aging and attenuation of functional loss via exercise intervention.

Dr. Ireneusz Majsterek is a Professor and Head in Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry at Medical University of Lodz, Poland. Dr. Majsterek completed his Ph.D biological sciences, biochemistry, molecular genetics at University of Lodz in the year 1999. He is working as a Chairman of the Pedagogical Board of Studies in English and Interdepartmental Recruitment Commission at Medical University in Lodz since 2012. He is the author of 274 articles 145 original papers and 129 conference presentations. Dr. Ireneusz Majsterek's research interest includes clinical and basic science research that relate to human diseases including cancer, diabetes and ophthalmology. Especially, he have large experience in all aspects of DNA mutations and epimutations, from basic evolutionary aspects to translational applications in genetic and epigenetic diagnostics and therapy. He was interested in mechanisms of mutation induction, DNA repair, replication or recombination; novel methods of mutation detection, with a ultrahigh-throughput sequencing; somatic mutations and epimutations in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders during aging; the role of de novo mutations in chromatin structure and function; mitochondrial DNA mutations and their consequences in terms of human disease and aging; and novel method to generate ana analisys of mutations in cell lines and animal models. Of my special interest are basic mechanisms through which DNA damage and mutations impact development.

Dr. Abdul Kader Souid is a Professor of Pediatrics in College of Medicine & Health Sciences at UAE University. He received his Ph.D in Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at State University of New York in 1995. His research is focused on human health and approached using both clinical observations and analytical investigations. Drugs are studied using cellular respiration (measured by a phosphorescence oxygen analyzer) as a novel biomarker for their mode-of-action and toxicity. My goal is to promote the significance of including cellular biogenetics (the delivery of O2 to mitochondria, the breakdown of reduced fuels with passage of electrons to O2, and the resulting synthesis of ATP) in biological studies of diseases and their treatment.

He is also a faculty member at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine (Laurentian University and Lakehead University) and Adjunct Professor at Adler Graduate Professional School. Dr. Katzman was trained at the University of Toronto, first undertaking his B.Sc. in Psychology and Neuroscience, and subsequently his medical training and residency and post- doctoral fellowship. Dr. Katzman’s clinical work deals chiefly with the diagnosis and treatment of adults suffering with mood and anxiety disorders, as well as those suffering with Attention Deficit Disorders, Executive Dysfunction and chronic pain, providing expert diagnostic assessment, and pharmacological treatment as well as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy in both group and individual formats, psychodynamic treatment and Mindfulness Based treatments. As an educator, Dr. Katzman has developed numerous training programs for both students and clinicians in a variety of areas including: Primary care medicine, Psychiatry, Psychology, Social work, Occupational therapy, Nursing, Complementary and alternative medicine as well as for a variety of Support Workers. His research primarily involves examining the psychological manifestations associated with the prefrontal cortex and related associated tracts and organ systems in mood, anxiety and traumatic disorders. The focus of this research has been directed at Hypoprefrontality, Executive Dysfunction, Intolerance of Uncertainty and Low Hedonic Tone as well as the drivers of Motivation and Energy in relation to the development of a variety of comorbidities and treatment resistance. Dr. Katzman is also a founding member of the Board of Directors as well as the founding and current Chair of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Anxiety Disorders Association of Canada/Association Canadienne des Troubles Anxieux (ADAC/ACTA).

Dr. Hiroshi Kawaguchi is a Chief at Spine Center, Japan Community Health Care Organization, Tokyo, Japan. Hiroshi graduated from the University of Tokyo, and began my career as an orthopaedic surgeon in 1985. He began as a researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Lawrence Raiszat the University of Connecticut in 1991. There I decided my life's work would be on "disease science", i.e. preclinical translational research leading directly to the treatment of skeletal disorders: osteoporosis, bone fracture, periprostheticosteolysis, ossification of spinalligaments, and osteoarthritis. Since then, he had a career as a "surgeon scientist" in both laboratory and clinical aspects of these disorders, publishing 286 peer-reviewed original articles (total impact factor: 1,423) in prestigious scientific journals such as Nat Med, Nat Mater, Nature, Science, JCI, Gene Dev, JCB, PNAS, Dev Cell, JBC, and JBMR. Importantly, some of these reported efforts have already led to clinical use, for example, a recombinant agent for fracture healing and a novel artificial joint with longevity. Dr. Hiroshi Kawaguchi had received the 2009 Kappa Delta Award, the 2006 Frank Stinchfield Award of the Hip Society, the 2006 Basic Science Award of OARSI, and the 2011 Lawrence Raisz Award of ASBMR. He have also devoted himself to the education of young researchers. In fact, members of his group have been awarded the ASBMR Young Investigator Award each of the l7 years since l998.
