He has worked extensively on molecular diagnostics for human cancer and has obtained several novel discoveries valuable to predict treatment response, clinical outcome and survival in cancer patients.

Dr. Farid Menaa is an inter-and multi-disciplinary professional-Professor, Director, Entrepreneur and Consultant, he was awarded with a National Master in Genetics in 1999 and PhD in Medicine (Geriatry/Gerontology, Biochemistry and Biophysics) in 2003, both with highest distinctions from prestigious French universities. Dr. Menaa followed a post-doctoral in Oncology as a NIH-fellow (San Diego, California, USA; 2004–2007), during which he discovered a novel radiation-induced DNA Damage Signaling Pathway.Dr. Menaa was promoted as Chief Scientific Officer and Vice-President R&D at Fluorotronics, Inc. (CA, USA; 2009–1010), during which he actively participated in the development of Carbon-Fluorine Spectroscopy (CFS, aka Spectro-Fluor™) for bio-medical and pharmaceutical applications. Further, Dr. Menaa was appointed Principal Investigator in Hematology and Genomics as a FAPESP-Fellow (Sao Paulo, Brazil; 2010–2012) during which he discovered new genetic variants of stroke in sickle cell anemia patients. Dr. Menaa's main current focuses are related to preventive, personalized, translational, integrative and nanomedicine, especially in the areas of oncology, regenerative medicine and gerontology, in order to prevent and implement early diagnosis and efficient therapy.

Panagiotis Vlamos is a Full Professor, Chairman of the University Research Center of the Ionian University and Director of the Bioinformatics and Human Electrophysiology Laboratory (BiHELab) at the Ionian University. He has authored more than 200 papers in peer-reviewed journals and conference proceedings as well as 16 educational books. The topics of his papers are Mathematical Modelling, Applied and Discrete Mathematics as well as Bioinformatics. His main research interest ισ to help bridge the translational gap from data to models and from models to drug discovery and personalized therapy by developing quantitative deterministic approaches to biological and clinical problems by utilizing high-performance computing. He is the founder of the series of the World Congresses GeNeDis (“Genetics, Geriatrics and Neurodegenerative Diseases Research”), organized every two years starting from 2014. He also founded the Master’s Program “Bioinformatics & Neuroinformatics” and is the editor of the Handbook of Computational Neurodegeneration that will be published by Springer International Publishing.
