Prof. Thomas H Shaffer is a Professor Emeritus of Physiology and Pediatrics at Temple University School of Medicine and serves as Director for Alfred I DuPont Hospital for Children, USA. He is also working as Professor of Pediatrics at Thomas Jefferson Medical College. Prof. Shaffer received his doctorate from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He was honored with Dean's List, Inventors Fulcrum of Progress Award. Since 1974, Prof. Shaffer has been continuously supported by NIH grants, and academic, corporate and private institutional awards. His revolutionary work with treatments for respiratory distress syndrome is known world-wide, and he is considered an international expert in this field. In addition, Prof. Shaffer is renowned for his work in developmental airway physiology and clinical pulmonary function evaluation in neonates.
