New medicines can help prevent and cure T.B. Yet two years after a United Nations High-Level Meeting on T.B. in 2018, people are still dying of a disease that should have been eliminated decades ago.

Survival Analysis of Sputum Conversion Time among Patients with Drug Resistant Tuberculosis in Kenya

Abstract: Drug-resistant tuberculosis (DR-TB) is a form of antimicrobial resistance Mycobacterium tuberculosis that is difficult and costly to treat. It is caused by TB bacteria resistance to at least one of the first-line existing TB medications, resulting in fewer treatment options and increasing mortality rates.
