Dr. Petersen Dan is a board certified toxicologist with research interests in the mechanisms of action of plant and animal toxins as well as environmental toxicants. Dr. Petersen is an adjunct professor at the University of Cincinnati teaching pathology, physiology, nutrition and enology in the Horticulture department, as well as toxicology in the environmental studies program. He is a senior educator for Cincinnati Children's Hospital teaching clinical toxicology, and is a toxicologist for US EPA conducting environmental risk assessments. He has been president of several scientific societies, works on several editorial boards for scientific journals, and has published extensively in the areas of toxicology and risk analysis.

Dr. Bharat Bhushan is Professor, Ohio Eminent Scholar and Director of Nanoprobe Laboratory for Bio & Nanotechnology and Biomimetics in Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ohio State University of Columbus, USA. He received his Ph.D in Mechanical Engineering from University of Colorado. Dr. Bhushan then worked as Program Manager in R&D Division of Mechanical Technology Inc, Latham, NY. He also worked as Development Engineer/Manager of General Products Division Lab at IBM Corporation, Tucson. Dr. Bhushan is now Graduate Research Faculty Advisor in Department of Materials Science and Engineering and Affiliated Faculty Member at Battelle Center for Science & Technology Policy, John Glenn College of Public Affairs. Dr. Bharat Bhushan's Research interests include fundamental studies in the interdisciplinary areas of bio/nanotribology/nanomechanics and nanomaterials characterization in bio/nanotechnology and biomimetics with a focus on scanning probe techniques.

Dr. Hikmet Budak is a professor at the Department of Plant Sciences and Plant Pathology in Montana State University, USA. He received his Ph.D. degree with a major in genetics and plant breeding and with a minor in biometry from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA, in 2002. He worked as a Coordinator, and led grass genetics and breeding program at the same university. In 2006, Dr. Budak was awarded the Turkish Young Scientist Award and Achievement Award by WORLCOMP06, USA. He published over 100 peer reviewed articles and 8 book chapters. His research interest includes genetics and genomics of drought, plant disease resistance, pathogen infections and methods.

Dr. Long-Xi Yu is an Adjunct Professor in Department of Plant Pathology at Washington State University, USA. He received his Ph. D. in Plant Molecular Biology from University of Orleans, France. He was awarded a Certificate of Professional Achievement in Plant Biology, Zhongshan University, Guangzhou. Dr. Xi Yu's current research has been focused on genome-wide association studies (GWAS) of resistance to soil-borne diseases and stem nematode in alfalfa using genotyping by sequencing (GBS); Drought and salt tolerance, and enhanced water use efficiency are also investigated in his group using forward or reverse genetics; Molecular markers and high throughput strategies will be developed and used in marker-assisted breeding to develop improved forage varieties with resistance to disease and abiotic stresses.

Dr. Anmin Wan is a Research Associate in the Department of Plant Pathology at Washington State University, USA. Dr. Anmin Wan obtained his educations from agricultural universities in China. After graduation, he has been working on plant diseases at various Institutes and universities in China, UK, Canada and USA. He is having significant work experience and knowledge of diseases on cereals, vegetables and others, including disease survey and sample collection, pathogenicity, phenotype and genotype of pathogens, population structure and genetic diversity of pathogens, discovery and characterization of disease resistance, fungicide trails and IPM of diseases, extension and consultations. His career is as a plant doctor and solving disease problems in agricultural production. Dr. Anmin Wan research interest includes etiology, cereal disease, disease resistance, epidemiology, IPM and fungicide control.

Dr. Shulu Zhang is a Senior Research Scientist at Agdia Incorporated in Plant Pathology Research and Development. Dr. Zhang did his doctoral study on rice tungro viruses with Professor Roger Hull at John Innes Institute, Norwich, United Kingdom, and obtained his PhD through University of East Anglia in Norwich in 1994. Since then, he has been working on all sorts of plant pathogens in Canada and in the United States. He was also a Research Assistant Professor leading a group working on geranium bacterial blight at University of Toledo, Ohio. He joined Agdia Inc. in February 2011 and currently is a Senior Research Scientist involving in the development of molecular tests for plant pathogens. Dr. Zhang's research interests mainly include plant pathology and biology. He has over 30-years research experience with plants and plant-associated microbes, and has been a member of the American Phytopathological Society since 1996. Dr. Zhang has published over 37 peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters, and served as reviewers of several academic journals.

Dr. San-Ji Gao worked at The Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in July, 1996 and was as a professor of Sugarcane Pathologist and Geneticist in September 2014. Dr. Gao focuses on sugarcane genetic breeding and molecular pathology. His overall research goal is controlling and preventing sugarcane diseases by improving the sugarcane disease-resistance through the use of conventional hybrid breeding and molecular genetics tools. His major research focuses are interesting in (1) Molecular diagnosis of the main sugarcane pathogens in China and on the evaluation of disease-resistance of sugarcane (Saccharum spp. hybrids); (2) Molecular biology on causal pathogens of sugarcane, such as molecular variation, genetic diversity and population genetic structure at gene or genomic levels. Molecular interactions between causal agents and sugarcane hosted plant also are focused; and (3) improving the disease-resistance for elite germplasms and clones of sugarcane through molecular genetic approaches.

Dr. Jian Zhao is a Professor at Huazhong Agricultural University. He received Ph. D. in Pharmacognosy at Chinese Acedamy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, M.S. in Plant Science at Northeast Normal University, B.S. in Biology at Inner Mongolia Normal University. He worked as Research Associate at Kansas State University, Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Jian Zhao research interest includes plant secondary metabolism and metabolic engineering, lipid metabolism, crop metabolomic, flavonoid biosynthesis and regulatory network, Soybean genetic and molecular breeding, oil and flavonoid biosynthesis in soybean, natural product biosynthesis in crops and medicinal plants.
