Dr. Ricard G Stevenson is currently Professor of Clinical Dentistry and Chair of the Section of Restorative Dentistry, with over 100 faculty members. Since 2009 he has been the Director of the Senior Select Programs at UCLA, which are special advanced programs for pre-doctoral students wishing to learn more advanced concepts of occlusion, implantology, esthetics and dental photography. He has made numerous instructional videos in restorative dentistry techniques including ceramic inlays and onlays, dental materials, impressions and dental photography these videos have been viewed by thousands of dentists internationally. In 2009, he created the 2-year post-doctoral Advanced Restorative Clinical Training program. He practices dentistry with Dr. Ed McLaren in the Center for Esthetic Dentistry at UCLA. In 2011, he was named the UCLA School of Dentistry Alumnus of the Year in recognition of his outstanding contributions to organized dentistry, the school, the community and the UCLA Dental Alumni Association. He started Stevenson Dental Solutions, a teaching institute and Master Milling Center, a dental laboratory in 2014.

Dr. Dena Garner is a professor in the Department of Health, Exercise and Sport Science and is the Director of Undergraduate Research at The Citadel in Charleston, South Carolina. She started working at The Citadel in 2004 while completing her post-doctoral fellowship in the Department of Neurology at the Medical University of South Carolina, also located in Charleston. She has been working in the area of mouthpiece use and effect on human performance since 2005 with studies that have focused on reaction time, lactate, and cortisol and the effect of mouthpiece use on these parameters. In addition, her research has focused on mouthpiece use during steady state exercise and effects on oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange as well as the proposed mechanisms for positive effects on airway dynamics in a healthy population. Recently she has compared current mouthpiece designs to new designs of mouthpieces. In addition to research in the area of mouthpiece use and effect on human performance, Dr. Garner is involved in a research study which involves testing and evaluating physiologic neuro-assessment devices in healthy versus traumatic brain injury populations.

He has been awarded ad hominem fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and ad eundem fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Glasgow, Ireland and Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He is a fellow or a member of other Colleges and scientific societies. He has been honored with several distinctions from professional ENT Societies including two Presidential Citations from the American Laryngological Association for his contributions made to the field of laryngology and the association. He has been appointed as the International Liaison for Corresponding Fellows of the American Laryngological Association. He collaborated as a member of the World Health Organizations Committee on Histological Typing of Tumours of the Upper Respiratory Tract and Ear. He is also a member of the Laryngeal Cancer Association?s Committee on the Classification of Laryngeal Cancer. He was consultant to Yale University. He has delivered prestigious lectures all over the world. Recently he gave the 2nd Morrison Lecture in San Francisco (2006) and the 19th Som Lecture in New York (2006).

Dr Bransfield is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a Distinguished Life Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He earned his medical degree from the George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington, DC and completed a residency in psychiatry at Sheppard and Enoch Pratt Hospital. Dr. Bransfield has an interest in healthcare policy and the association between infections, psychoimmunology and mental illness.
