Prof. Ronald EP Frenkel is a Professor in Department of Ophthalmology at Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, University of Miami School of Medicine, Florida, USA and he is a Director for Eye Research Foundation, Stuart, Florida. Prof. Frenkel received his M.D from Wayne State University School of Medicine, Detroit in 1982 and his B.A from Vassar College, Poughkeepsie, New York in 1977. Prof. Ronald was selected as US News and World Report Top Doctor, as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He is awarded with Achievement Award for American Academy of Ophthalmology. Prof. Ronald EP Frenkel's research interests includes Macular Degeneration, Glaucoma and Medical Retina.

Prof. Ireneusz Majsterek is a Professor and Head in Department of Medical Chemistry and Biochemistry at Medical University of Lodz, Poland. Prof. Majsterek completed his Ph.D biological sciences, biochemistry, molecular genetics at University of Lodz in the year 1999. He is working as a Chairman of the Pedagogical Board of Studies in English and Interdepartmental Recruitment Commission at Medical University in Lodz since 2012. He is the author of 274 articles 145 original papers and 129 conference presentations. Prof. Ireneusz Majsterek's research interest includes clinical and basic science research that relate to human diseases including cancer, diabetes and ophthalmology. Especially, he have large experience in all aspects of DNA mutations and epimutations, from basic evolutionary aspects to translational applications in genetic and epigenetic diagnostics and therapy. He was interested in mechanisms of mutation induction, DNA repair, replication or recombination; novel methods of mutation detection, with a ultrahigh-throughput sequencing; somatic mutations and epimutations in cancer and neurodegenerative disorders during aging; the role of de novo mutations in chromatin structure and function; mitochondrial DNA mutations and their consequences in terms of human disease and aging; and novel method to generate ana analisys of mutations in cell lines and animal models. Special interest are basic mechanisms through which DNA damage and mutations impact development.
