Andrzej J. Jaroszyński obtained his PhD from Medical University of Lublin (Poland) in 1997. Currently he is serving as a professor to the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce (Poland). He is a specialist in internal medicine, nephrology, and family medicine. He serves as a chair for the Department of Nephrology at the Jan Kochanowski University in Kielce. He has got more than 100 publications in his academic/research career, acting mainly on the following subjects: cardionephrology, sudden cardiac death, heart failure, vascular calcification, atherosclerosis, peritoneal dialysis. He is the member for several professional organizations.

Dr. José Luis Turabian is an Professor of numerous training courses in Family Medicine, Family Doctor in the Health Center Industrial Park which belongs to the Health Service of Castilla La Mancha, Tutor of resident doctors of Family Medicine at the Family and Community Medicine Teaching Unit. He received his PhD, MD from Complutense University. Dr. José Luis Turabian is an Author of the books of Family Medicine: Apuntes, esquemas y ejemplos de Participación Comunitaria en la Salud; Cuadernos de Medicina de Familia y Comunitaria, etc. His research intrest includes Mental health, Morbilidad, Continuity, variability, context, Cycle Family life and Genogram, Psycho-Social Factors, etc.

Dr. Ozgur Karcioglu, MD, is a professor and working in the Department of Emergency Medicine at Istanbul Education and Research Hospital, Fatih, Istanbul. Dr. Ozgur Karcioglu has commenced his residency in Dokuz Eylul University Medical School, Department of Emergency Medicine and graduated in 1998. He completed the Fellowship Program in “International Emergency Medicine” in Pennsylvania State University (2005). He has served as the chairman of the department in DEU (2005-2007). Then he has been in charge of the ED of Bakirkoy Research and Training Hospital (2007-2009), and then faculty member in Acibadem University (2009-15). In the meantime (2011), he has also participated in the refreshment work for the Joint Commission International (JCI) certification in the Acibadem Bakirkoy Hospital. He has served as a founder and a board member of The Emergency Medical Association of Turkey (2007-2009). 115 articles of him were published in international journals. He has contributed in three books as editor, and authored 33 chapters. His book project entitled ‘Trauma Surgery’ is going on currently. He’s serving as a member of The Editorial Board in a number of journals. He’s also an instructor of the American Heart Association-based Basic and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Course. His research interests are resuscitation, advanced life support, pain management, airway emergencies, disaster medicine, trauma and toxicology.

Paul D. Terry, PhD, MPH, FACE, is Associate Professor of Epidemiology in the Department of Medicine at the University of Tennessee (UT) Medical Center in Knoxville, Tennessee. He is also a faculty member in the interdisciplinary Comparative and Experimental Medicine program at UT, is an affiliated faculty member in the UT Institute for Biomedical Engineering, and is a key member of the UT Cancer Community of Scholars. Dr. Terry has been involved in the design and conduct of case-control, cohort, cross-sectional, experimental, and methodological studies of chronic diseases, including cancer, diabetes and metabolic syndrome, and various causes of mortality. He has published over 100 peer-reviewed articles related to chronic disease epidemiology.

Dr. Josep M Bosch Fontcuberta is a doctor of medicine and surgery from the Universitat de Barcelona (UB). His professional activity focuses on integrating the clinical activity with the teacher and the researcher. He work at the Primary Care Center “Encants” (Maragall) of the Catalan Institute of Health (ICS) of Barcelona. His teaching activity focuses on training in clinical interview and communication assistance, as well as on topics specific to family medicine, mental health and geriatrics. He belongs to the Communication and Health Group of the Spanish Society of Family and Community Medicine (semFYC) since its inception in 1989, being its national coordinator during the period 2008-2014. He is also an Associate Professor of the Medicine Department of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB) and professor of the Teaching Unit of Family Medicine in Barcelona in the training of resident physicians.

Prakash C. Deedwania, MD, FACC, FAHA, FCCP, FACP, FASH is one of the most recognizable figures in the fields of Diabetes, hypertension, heart failure, lipid disorders, ischemic heart disease, heart failure, rhythm disorders, and preventive cardiology. He is Professor of medicine at the University of California–San Francisco (UCSF) School of Medicine and Director, Heart Failure Program at UCSF Program in Fresno, California, USA. Dr. Deedwania is also Director of cardiovascular research for the UCSF Fresno–Central San Joaquin Valley Medical Education Program and Clinical Professor of medicine at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, USA.Dr. Deedwania has authored numerous landmark clinical trials and has authored or co-authored more than 400 publications, including original research articles in well referenced journals like NEJM,JAMA, Lancet, Circulation, JACC, AJC, AHJ, Am J of Medicine , and many other International Journals. He has also edited 12 books & authored numerous articles in books, & Review journals etc. Dr. Deedwania also serves on the editorial boards of numerous journals. He is an associate editor of Annals of Noninvasive Cardiology and senior editor of Global Heart, the journal of World Heart Federation. He has served as guest editor for Journal of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Deedwania lectures regularly both nationally and internationally.

Dr. Homeier is currently an Associate Professor of Internal Medicine and Family Medicine at the Keck School of Medicine at USC where she cares for elderly and disabled patients at LAC+USC Medical Center and teaches geriatric medicine to internal medicine residents, medical students, and gerontology students. She also serves as the Program Director for the Fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. Dr. Homeier is the Medical Director of the Adult Protection Team, a hospital-based elder abuse program located at LAC+USC Medical Center. She has lectured on elder abuse at local and national conferences on the topic of elder abuse, elder sexual abuse, and multidisciplinary responses to elder abuse. In January 2006, Dr. Homeier opened the Los Angeles County Elder Abuse Forensic Center with grant funding from the Archstone Foundation and the UniHealth Foundation.

Dr. Matthew Boyko is a Head of Research Lab & also Assistant Professor in Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care at Soroka University Medical Center. He received his PhD degree and post-doctorate at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev (BGU). His research intrest are Blood glutamate scavenging, Neuroprotection, Ischemic brain injury, Closed head injury, Behavioral brain research: Influence of brain injury on development of mental disorders (anxiety, post-stroke depression, post-traumatic stress disorder), social behavior and cognitive changes related to stroke or TBI, Modeling Stroke, Traumatic brain injury, Subarachnoid hemorrhage Depression in Rat, Evaluation of brain edema, infarcted volume and blood—brain barrier breakdown after brain injury.

Prof. Latiffah Abdul Latiff is a Professor at Universiti Putra Malaysia. She studied at National University of Malaysia, and obtained her Doctor of Medicine in 1981 and Master of Medicine in Public Health in 1992. In 2004, she obtained fellowship from University of Malta-INIA-SAGE and later another fellowship from University Malta- International Institute of Ageing (INIA) in 2006 sponsored by UNFPA, where she was involved in sub-specialty training in Geriatrics & Social Gerontology. Her Area of Expertise: Public Health Medicine, Women’s Health, Family Health, Reproductive Health, Adolescent Health.
