Dr. John Francis Dombrowski is the Chief for Washington Pain Center in Washington DC, as well as Clinical Associate of Georgetown University Medical School. He is also past president of the District of Columbia Society of Anesthesiologists and on the Board of Directors at the American Society of Anesthesiologists. Dr. Dombrowski then did a year of internal medicine at Yale University and then finished his anesthesiology training at Yale University in 1992. Dr. Dombrowski then went on to Georgetown University and obtained a Masters degree in physiology. He graduated in 1989 from Georgetown school of medicine. Dr. Dombrowski research interests include Pain Medicine, Cardiothoracic Anesthesia, Obstetrical Anesthesia, Medical Acupuncture, and Addiction Medicine.

Dr. Hiroshi Kawaguchi was graduated from the University of Tokyo and began his career as an orthopedic surgeon in 1985. Dr. Kawaguchi began as a researcher in the laboratory of Dr. Lawrence Raisz at the University of Connecticut in 1991. There he decided his life's work would be on 'disease science', i.e. preclinical translational research leading directly to the treatment of skeletal disorders: osteoporosis, bone fracture, periprosthetic osteolysis, ossification of spinal ligaments, and osteoarthritis. Since then, he have had a career as a 'surgeon scientist' in both laboratory and clinical aspects of these disorders. Dr. Kawaguchi have been an ORS member since 1995, and received the 2009 Kappa Delta Award. He was also awarded the 2006 Frank Stinch field Award of the Hip Society, the 2006 Basic Science Award of OARSI, and the 2011 Lawrence Raisz Award of ASBMR. Dr. Kawaguchi have also devoted himself to the education of young researchers. In fact, members of his group have been awarded the ASBMR Young Investigator Award each of the l6 years since l998, and three of them the President's Book Award during that period (24 awardees in total).

He completed his residence programme in otolaryngology and subsequently in pathology. He worked at the ENT Department of Padua University from 1970 to 1997. Dr. Ferlito has collaborated in writing articles, editorials, commentaries, letters to the editor, special issues, book chapters and books with 516 international experts. He has edited a three-volume book entitled Cancer of the Larynx (CRC Press, Boca Raton, 1985) and three other books entitled Neoplasms of the Larynx (Churchill Livingstone, Edinburgh, 1993), Surgical Pathology of Laryngeal Neoplasms (Chapman and Hall, London, 1996) and Diseases of the Larynx (Arnold, London, 2000).

He is a Director of Research in prehospital, crisis and disaster medicine research projects in Western Sweden and at a national level. Eric's most recent projects are collaboration at the accident scene and development of collaboration exercises, financed by the Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency. He has more than 30 years of experience from ambulance services. Currently, he is managing studies on prehospital resource estimation and HRO collaboration during events and mass gatherings. Dr. Imam Xierali is working as an Adjunct Associate Professor in the Department of Geography and Anthropology at the Louisiana State University and an appointment as the Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine at the Georgetown University Medical Center. Dr. Xierali is Manager for Public Health and Diversity Initiatives at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC). A broadly trained health geographer with years of health services research experience, he has developed a deep understanding of the physician workforce studies. At AAMC he is participating in an NIH-supported grant project-Urban Universities for HEALTH-to enhance and expand a culturally sensitive, diverse, and prepared health workforce that improves health and reduces health disparities in local urban communities of anchor universities. He is also conducting research for the CDC Cooperative Agreement on integrating concept of public health in medical education. As the Health Geographer and Research Scientist at the American Academy of Family Physicians, he led and participated in spatial analysis of health workforce distribution in a number of projects focusing on the spatial relationships between primary care access and delivery and health outcomes with spatial statistics. Dr. Xierali earned his PhD in geography from the University of Cincinnati.

Dr. Liu is also the Professor and tutor of joint training of Xi'an Jiaotong University and the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Since graduated from the Chongqing Medical University and subsequently obtained the doctoral degree from the Xi'an Jiaotong University, Dr. Liu has spent more than thirty-one years on clinical works, research and teaching on pediatrics, neonatology and peri neonatology at the university hospital. She is a keen medical educator and now oversees the master and doctor degree courses at the First Affiliated Hospital of Xi'an Jiaotong University. Dr. Liu is also internationally extensively linked with vast experiences at various world renowned institutes. She has been the Visiting Scientist and Observer at the Boston Children’s Hospital, Brigham and Women’s Hospital of the Harvard Medical School and the Institute of Maternal and Child Health of the Bucharest Medical University, Romania. Dr. Liu has received numerous prizes and grants along her medical career. Most significantly, she received grants from the National Natural Science Foundation of China in 2007, 2010 and 2015 and the grants for the scientific and technological development key projects of Shaanxi Province in 1998, 2005 and 2007. In addition, she received the Scientific and Technological Progress Award by the Education Committee of Shaanxi Province (1998, 2014) and the Shaanxi Provincial Government (Third Prize. 2000). She received the Neonatal Physician Award by the Chinese Medical Doctor Association (2016).
