Dr. Jian Guo Jiang is a Director, laboratory of Natural product chemistry and biotechnology, College of food and bioengineering, South China University of Technology. Dr Jiang received his PhD in hydrobiology in 1992 from State Key Laboratory of Freshwater Ecology and Biotechnology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1995-1997, he was a post-doctoral fellow at the South China University of Technology, where he first began to pursue research in food, natural products and biotechnology. In 1997, Dr Jiang was appointed an Associate Professor, and in 2005, he was appointed a Professor. Over the last 20 years, his research group has worked with a wide range of food and natural products, as well as Application of microalgae and metabolic engineering.
