Dr. Lavinia Balan is a CNRS Senior Researcher, France. She received her PhD from University Henry Poincaré, France, which devoted to the elaboration of an original material for the anode of Li-ion batteries. Dr. Balan holds four patents under her name. She is a Member of the Executive Committee of the International Union of Advanced Materials (IUAM) and Member of Steering Committee of World Academic Publishing Conference Series: Application of Materials and Chemical Engineering (AMCE). Dr. Balan's research interests include nanotechnology, nanomaterials : metal nanoparticles, metal/polymer nanocomposites, synthesis of nanocomposites, design and characterization of metal nanoparticles and nanocrystals (quantum dots) suited for advanced applications in the fields of optic, photonics, plasmonics or biology.
