Dr. Samuel N Grief is an Associate Professor in Department of Family Medicine at Chicago College of Medicine, University of Illinois, USA. Dr. Samuel initial career venue was in rural Canada. He then transferred to a practice in rural America. He is an expert in making home visits, also known as house calls. As a result of his eight years in these practice settings, He learned many skills and primary care "tricks of the trade" which he envision sharing with students during the span of the grant. For the past several years, he has been a teaching faculty within the PCM Scholars Program, partnering with fledgling medical students in developing continuity of care patient experiences. He envisions doing something similar along these lines, identifying patients in need within our designated rural areas and making house calls and establishing an ongoing relationship with patients that capture the essence of patient-centred medicine. In summary, he anticipates a strong interest among students in our field of study and look forward to co-leading the project with fellow collaborators.
