Dr. Yousef M Hijji is Professor in Department of Chemistry and Earth Sciences at Qatar University, Qatar. He has worked as Professor, Associate Professor and as Assistant Professor at Morgan State University. Dr. Hijji has received many awards like NASA Astrobiologyprograms - MIRS Summer fellowship (2011), NASA NSTISummer fellowship (2010), Dean’s OutstandingResearch Award MorganStateUniversity (2009), FacultyDevelopment Award, Morgan StateUniversity (2002), etc. Dr. Hijji's research interests includes Chemical and biosensors, Microwaves in organic synthesis, Synthesis of functionalized magnetic nanoparticles, Water quality monitoring and purification, Synthesis of anti-cancer and anti-microbial compound, Isolation of bioactive natural products, Water purification, Cyanobacteria and bio fuel, Harvesting water from air humidity, Microwaves in organic synthesis, Synthesis of anti-cancer and anti-microbial compound, Isolation of bioactive natural products, Cyano bacteria and biofuel, Magnetic nanoparticles and oil extraction, Ionic liquids in energy storage and oil extraction.
