Dr. Marco Cacioppo is an Associate Professor of the Department of Human Sciences in LUMSA University, Rome. Dr. Marco Cacioppo received his Ph.D in Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Family Psychotherapy at the Sapienza University of Rome. He teaches Clinical Psychology, Developmental Psychopathology and Group Psychotherapy at the LUMSA University of Rome. Dr. Marco Cacioppo research interests and publications mainly focus on the family functioning and children’s risk behaviors, with specifically attention to substance dependence, new addictions (i.e., internet addiction and compulsive cybersex behavior), eating disorders and psychopathological outcomes of traumatic experiences among youth. He works as with families, marital couples and individuals according to the Systemic-Relational Approach and the Mentalization Based Therapy (MBT).
