Dr. Carlos Leal is an Associate Professor of Orthopedics, Bosque University, South America. He also serves as President at ONLAT-Latin American Society of Musculoskeletal Shockwave therapy. Dr. Leal is serving as first Vice President for Association Hispanic American from Physicians of the Football-HISPAMEF, Spain. He is also Director for Fenway Medical Knee Surgery. He worked as Scientific Director at Latin American Society of Arthroscopy. Dr. Leal received Jose Vicente Bernal Award for the Best Research Paper of 2003, at the 48th National Congress of the Colombian Society of Orthopedic Surgery and Traumatology. He also received Honorable Mention of the National Academy of Medicine, National Prize for Medical Research Rhone Poulenc Rhorer for the work "Reconstruction of the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in immature skeleton".
