Prof. Fei Gao is a Professor at the University of Michigan. He worked as Chief Scientist and Adjunct Professor of Washington State University. Prof. Gao received his PhD from The University of Liverpool, UK. He received numerous awards which include The Outstanding Research Award of Basic Energy Science and The Outstanding Performance Awards of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA. Presently His research focuses on numerous Research Grants and Proposals which include 'Fission Product Transport in TRISO Fuel', Computer Simulations of Radiation Damage on Pressure Vessel Materials etc. His research projects were funded by numerous grants like DOE, USA; Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, USA; BNFL Magnox Generation, UK; Atomic Energy of Canada Ltd. Prof. Gao research interests focuses on Fundamental understanding of ion-solid interaction and radiation effects in ceramics and reactor materials, Multi-scale computer simulations of microstructure evolution of solids under irradiation employing various computational methods.
