Dr. Xuming Wang is a Research Professor in the Department of Metallurgical Engineering at the University of Utah USA. He also holds guest professor and adjunct professor positions at Central South University, Shanxi University, Chongqing University, Kunming University of Science and Technology, and the Technology Center of CYMCO in China. He received his PhD degree and MS degrees in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Utah, USA in 2004. He received his B.S. degree in Mineral Processing Engineering from Kunming University of Science and Technology, China. Dr. Wang’s prior experience includes Senior Researcher at USG Research Center, Environmental Research Engineer at Advanced Processing Technologies Inc. Salt Lake City US, Senior Research Engineer at Research Institute of Chemical and Mineral Resources, China, Processing Engineer at Steel Work Hendang Corporation, China. Dr. Wang’s research interests include mineral processing especially phosphate flotation, rare-earth minerals flotation, soluble salt flotation, and industrial mineral processing; flotation chemistry, surface and interface spectroscopy; hydrometallurgy and high-pressure leach; environment engineering including environment assessment, wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment and recycling.
