Dr. Godwin E Mbamalu serves as Associate Vice President for Research and Distinguished Professor of Biochemistry, and Environmental Health Science, Benedict College and Concurrent Professor at the Arnold School of Public Health, University of South Carolina. He is a member of the South Carolina Statewide Cancer Prevention and Control and South Carolina Cancer Research Task Force. Dr. Godwin's research interests are in health disparities, and contaminant-physico-chemical interactions and has served/serve as associate editor of diverse public health and environmental journals, NIH scholar and visiting professor –Intelligent Materials, University of Wollongong NSW, Australia, Mellon Foundation Scholar, Salzburg, Austria, O'Herron Foundation Endowed and Distinguished Professor and recipient of many other disciplinary and professional awards.
