Prof. Nomeli P Nunez is working as Associate Professor in Department of Nutrition at Georgia State University, USA. He also woked as Assistant Professor at The University of Texas at Austin, USA. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship from Washington State University at Pullman, USA. Prof. Nunez received Teaching award, The Katherine Ross Richards Centennial Fellowship in Nutrition from Department of Human Ecology, The University of Texas at Austin. Breast cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death among American women. Breast cancer risk is increased by both obesity and alcohol consumption. However, the mechanism of how these factors affect breast cancer development is not fully known. Prof. Nunez's laboratory focuses on investigating how these risk factors influence breast cancer development with the ultimate goal of finding targets to prevent the effects of alcohol and obesity on breast cancer.
