Dr. Kayisli was born in Turkey. After receiving his Master of Science degree from Department of Histology and Embryology in Akdeniz University, Turkey, Dr. Kayisli received his Ph.D degree from a collaborative Ph.D program between Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale School of Medicine and Department of Histology and Embryology Program in Akdeniz University. Dr. Kayisli then became an Assoc. Research Scientist in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at Yale University School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Kayisli accepted Assist. Prof. Position as a member of the research faculty group in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the Ohio State University College of Medicine from 2012 to 2014. Since 2014, Dr. Kayisli is an Assoc. Prof in Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology in the University of South Florida, Morsani College of Medicine. His publication record is over 90 peer-reviewed article published in world class high impact journals, more than 3000 citation to his published studies by others from all over the World, and more than 100 oral and poster presentation (presented in international congress including Society for Gynecologic Investigation (SGI), American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), European Society for Human reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). Dr. Kayisli’s studies have been awarded with President’s Presenter Award from the SGI in 2001 and 2002. In addition to this, he is recipient of the Best Young Scientist in 2003 from Akdeniz University. He is also recipient many international fellowships including NATO international research fellowship, ASRM fellowship for Frontiers in Reproduction Course. His research interest includes vasculogenesis during placentation, implantation mechanisms, and molecular mechanisms of pathogenesis preterm birth.
