Dr. Mary Kelly-Quinn is working as an Associate Professor in University College Dublin from Zoology Department. Dr. Kelly-Quinn has completed studies on the aquatic habitats of agricultural, urban and forested catchments. She has been awarded 57 research grants worth over 8 million euro. She has coordinated six multi-institute, large-scale, research projects with national and international participants. Her research on forest-water interactions spans three decades and a recently completed project (HYDROFOR) investigated acid, nutrient and sediment inputs from forestry operations through the life cycle of the forest. She has also completed research on the condition and management of riparian zones in plantation forests. Her research has yielded over 130 peer-reviewed publications and numerous reports.
