Dr.Hui Wan received his bachelor degree in forest products at Central Southern University of Forestry and Technology in China, his master degree in wood composite at the Royal Agriculture University of Copenhagen, Denmark and his Ph.D. in wood composites at Mississippi State University, USA. Dr.Hui Wan works at Mississippi State University as an associate professor in wood composites. His research interests are sustainable manufacturing forest products, wood adhesives, recycling, and new forest products development. He worked at FPInnovations and was project leader of MDF & particleboard, OSB, LVL, and value to wood research programs. He was a trustee of Forest Product Society Eastern Canadian Section for about 10 years and a reviewer of National Science and Education Foundation of Canada. He serviced as an adjunct professor at University Laval for about 10 years. He has served as a reviewer of the Louisiana Board of Regents Pfund and CPA’s MDF and PB standard. He has developed 7 patents or patent applications covering flaking, bio-treatment chitosan for adhesive, binderless panel, nano cellulose application in wood adhesives.
