Dr. Richard Condit is working as Staff Scientist in Smithsonian Tropical Research Institute at Panama. Dr. Condit worked as Research Associate in Princeton University (1988-1991), Research Associate University of Massachusetts (1986-1988), Research Associate in University of Melbourne, Australia (1984). His Research Interests include: Forest Ecology, Tropical Forest Restoration, Tropical Tree Population Genetics, Population Biology of Pinnipeds, Bacterial Population Dynamics and Evolution, Sexual Selection in Bowerbirds, Ecological Physiology of Pinnipeds, etc. Dr. Condit finished a guide book on Panama's trees while also publishing over 100 papers on forest ecology. He remains involved with marine mammals, and recently he even delved outside biology to study the rate of destruction of historical skyscrapers in Chicago, an application of demographic tools to architectural history.
