Dr. Giacomo Alessandro Gerosa is working as Professor of Ecology and Associate professor of Atmospheric Physics at the Catholic University of Brescia. He is Physical Ecologist, graduated from University of Milan (Italy) in 1997 he got his Ph.D. Agricultural Ecology in 2003 from the same University. Dr. Gerosa is Formerly teacher of Natural Sciences at an Italian State Scientific Lyceum (High School) of Bergamo, from 2006 to 2014 he was a researcher at the Catholic University in Brescia (Italy) dealing with the characterization of gaseous exchange between atmosphere and biosphere, the effects of airborne pollutants on agricultural and natural vegetation, the risk evaluations of air pollution on populations and ecosystems. He participated to a number of Italian and European projects as Scientific coordinator of the Catholic University group, among which ÉCLAIRE (FP7), OZONEFLUX (FP5), MANFRED (Interreg-Alpine Space), TREECity (PRIN), OZONIT (PRIN), ANAPNOI (UNICATT). He leads the interdisciplinary research group of Ecophysiology and Environmental Physics at the Catholic University of Brescia, and serves as Scientific Director of C.R.In.Es. - The Research Centre on atmospheric pollution and ecosystems of the Lombardy Region (Italy) - as well as responsible of the ecophysiological research infrastructure at the State Natural Reserve of 'Bosco Fontana' (Mantua).
