Dr. Ioannis Karapanagiotis is Head of the Department and Associate Professor of Management and Conservation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage Objects, Greece. He also worked as Assistant Professor in Department of Management and Conservation of Ecclesiastical Cultural Heritage Objects and in Department of Chemical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. Dr. Karapanagiotis's research interests includes Physiochemical characterization, analysis and study of objects of the cultural heritage (textiles, paintings and monuments), Investigation and reconstruction of ancient dyeing recipes, Innovative methods for conservation and protection of works of art (textiles, paintings and monuments), Surface properties of materials, Wettability, superhydrophobicity of surfaces.
