Prof. Ryszard Tomasz Smolenski is a Professor in the Department of Medicine at Medical University of Gdansk, Poland. He is also Head of the Department of Biochemistry, Medical University of Gdansk and Scientific Adviser of Bio-Innovative Research Technologies (BLIRT), Gdansk, Poland. Prof. Smolenski received his MD in Medicine, Medical University of Gdansk in 1986 and Ph.D. in the Department of Biochemistry in 1990. He was honored with Member of the International Advisory Board and Chairmen of the scientific session: International Society for Heart Research, Purines and Pyrimidines in Man, European Society for Surgical Research, European Society of Cardiology. Prof. Ryszard Tomasz Smolenski's research interest focused on experimental cardiothoracic surgery.
