Dr. Cecilia Veronica Nunez is a Graduate at Chemistry at University Mackenzie (1993), master's at Chemistry from University of São Paulo (1996), Ph.D. at Chemistry at University of São Paulo campus São Carlos (2000). Has experience in Biotechnology and Chemistry, focusing on Chemistry of Natural Products, acting on the following subjects: bioprospection of plants and endophytic fungus, plant biotechnology (callus and cell suspension culture), biomonitored fractionation, antioxidant activity, antimicrobial activity, cytotoxic activity, insecticide activity, methodology of chromatographic separation, NMR structural identification/elucidation of molecules and natural products photoionization. She is part of the editorial board of Revista Fitos and referee of several journal as International Research Journal of Biotechnology, Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry, Acta Amazonica and thesis referee of Bharathiar University (India) Botanical program, and several Brazilian Programs. In 2009, participated of the 59th Meeting of Nobel Laureates in Lindau, Germany and of the Post-Conference Programme in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. She was Afiliated member of the Brazilian Academy of Science from 2007 to 2012.
