Dr. Malak Pirtskhalava is Head of the Laboratory of Bioinformatics, I.Beritashvili Center of Experimental Biomedicine, Georgia. He received his Ph.D from Institute of Physics Georgian Academy of Sciences (1985). He also worked as a Director (Head) of the Research Department. His Current research interests: sequence alignment, threading, fold recognition, antimicrobial peptide prediction, antimicrobial peptide database.
