Dr. Marjorie A Jones is Professor of Chemistry at Illinois State University, USA. She has also worked as Associate Professor of Chemistry at Illinois State University. Dr. Jones received her PhD from The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, Texas in 1982. Dr. Jone's research interest includes the parasitic protozoan, Leishmania, leads to diseases in over 80 countries worldwide yet there are few effective therapies. His lab is very interested in understanding the biochemistry of these parasites and in testing unique molecules that can be used as new therapeutic directions.
