Dr. Neelima Chauhan is a Associate Professor in Department of Pediatrics at University of Illinois and also Research Biologist in Neuroscience Research at Jesse Brown VA Medical Center. She received her Ph.D, M.Sc & B.Sc from M.S. University of Baroda. Her research focus is mainly translational neuroscience, aimed at promoting repair of degenerated neurons under pathological conditions such as Alzheimer’s disease (AD) by interventional strategies. Although, major portion of work accomplished this far involved Alzheimer’s Disease-translational research including pre-clinical testing of various candidate therapies, pre-disposing potential of TBI as one of the principal risk factors for developing neurodegenerative conditions-Alzheimer’s disease in particular.
