Dr. Yan Huang is Senior Lecturer in Materials Science at Brunel University London. Prior to this he worked as the Technical Director of Confae Technology Ltd from 2004 to 2010, having had previously worked at the University of Manchester as a Research Fellow and Senior Research Fellow from 1996 to 2004. Dr. Huang has extensive research experience in thermo mechanical processing, focusing on micro structural evolution during processing and micro structure-property relationship. He is particularly interested in light alloys and metal matrix composites for automobile and aerospace industry and for biomedical applications as well. He has published over 110 papers in international peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings, which have received 898 SCI citations till now with an h-index of 15 (Researcher ID: A-8044-2010). He is a member of Shaping and Forming Committee, TMS, a member of EMRS and of UKSB.
