Abstract: Adamantinoma-Like Ewing Sarcoma (ALES) is an exceptionally rare tumor, traditionally classified as a variant of Ewing Sarcoma due to the presence of the EWSR1-FLI1 translocation. Predominantly affecting the head and neck, particularly the parotid gland, ALES exhibits a slight female predominance. Adamantinomas and Ewing sarcomas differ significantly in their origin, histology, and clinical presentation. This case report presents a unique instance of ALES originating in the thyroid gland, marking the first documented case of thyroid ALES incidentally presenting with abdominal pain. A 39-year-old male with a complex medical history presented with acute right upper quadrant abdominal pain. Initial evaluation for suspected hepatobiliary disease revealed a liver mass and an asymmetrically enlarged thyroid with a suspicious nodule.

Abstract: Tumoral calcinosis is a rare diagnosis characterized by periarticular calcific deposits, mainly affecting the periarticular tissue of the hips, shoulders and elbows. It’s usually progressive, and can lead to painful lesions. Incomplete surgical resection is usually associated with a high recurrence rate.

Abstract: A case of a thyroid schwannoma in a 12-year-old male is described. An asymptomatic right sided neck mass was initially seen on telemedicine as a shadow. After a workup; the patient underwent an en bloc excision of the mass, pathology was consistent with a benign schwannoma. To our knowledge this is the 5 th case of a thyroid schwannoma in a pediatric patient described in the literature since the first case was reported in 2004.

Abstract: Primary hyperparathyroidism (PHPT) is an endocrine disorder which is only curable with the surgical removal of the hyperfunctioning parathyroid gland(s). Surgeon-performed Ultrasound (SUS) has been shown to be an accurate and instrumental tool in preoperative parathyroid localization and can improve patient outcomes. This study aims to report on real-world experience from a community-based hospital on preoperative SUS in comparison to Radiology-performed US (RUS).
