Abstract: Primary hyperparathyroidism is a common clinical condition but identifying hyperfunctioning parathyroid glands can prove a diagnostic challenge preoperatively. Intraoperatively a systemic exploration might be warranted to localise the affected tissue, especially when the glands are in an ectopic position. Minimally invasive parathyroidectomy is an effective and safe surgical technique.

Abstract: Gastric bypass (GB) used to be a standard surgical procedure performed for weight loss. Delayed complications following GB may outweigh the initial benefits in some patients. As manifested in some patients with clinical symptoms of hypoglycemia, Dumping Syndrome may, over time, progress to persistent Hyper-Insulinemic Hypoglycemia (HIH) and, in some cases, with Nesidioblastosis (NB)

Abstract: Minimally-invasive parathyroidectomy (MIP) techniques have made the procedure safer and more feasible as an outpatient parathyroidectomy (OP). We hypothesized that any type of parathyroidectomy is safe as an outpatient procedure and strive to characterize factors responsible for successful OP.
