Intraoperative Localisation of Ectopic Parathyroid Adenoma with a Magnetic Marker

Authors: C Clement, DM den Hoed and P Jansen

Abstract: Primary hyperparathyroidism is a common clinical condition but identifying hyperfunctioning parathyroid glands can prove a diagnostic challenge preoperatively. Outpatient Parathyroidectomy is Safe and Effective: A 7-year Review

Authors: Henry A Reinhart, MD, Samuel K Snyder, MD, Michael D Bortz, MD, Susan V Stafford, MD, Victoria E Wagner, MD, Camille W Graham, MD and Xiaohui Wang, PhD

Abstract: Minimally-invasive parathyroidectomy (MIP) techniques have made the procedure safer and more feasible as an outpatient parathyroidectomy (OP). We hypothesized that any type of parathyroidectomy is safe as an outpatient procedure and strive to characterize factors responsible for successful OP.
