Abstract: Solanum incanum Linn. (Solanaecae) is used for its medicinal and nutritional values in parts of tropical Africa, including Northeast of Nigeria. The present study evaluated acute and sub-chronic oral toxicities of S. incanum fruit extracts in Swiss albino mice. The fruits were extracted by cold maceration method using distilled water and ethanol as solvents. The acute toxicity studies of the aqueous and ethanol extracts were carried out using Lorke’s method.
