These catheters present a low risk of serious complications but malpositioning of the distal tip is very frequent, with an incidence ranging from 5 to 31%. The most frequent tip locations of malpositioned PICC lines are the internal jugular vein, subclavian vein, axillary vein, brachial vein, contralateral veins, right atrium and right ventricle. Less frequently, the tip of the catheter may be placed in different arm veins and other peripheral veins

Abstract: COVID-19 vaccine uptake is a critical public health challenge. Suboptimal COVID-19 vaccination rates in the United States have highlighted the need to understand drivers of resistance to vaccination, which one could consider nonadherence to a preventive therapy. The literature shows that physicians strongly influence patient decisions about vaccination, but knowledge is lacking regarding the relationship of patient acceptance of vaccinations and their acceptance of other physician recommendations regarding preventive treatments. This study investigated willingness to receive the COVID-19 vaccine in patients who are nonadherent to medications for prevention of cardiovascular risk reduction.
