Abstract: Cervical cancer is the fourth most prevalent cancer among females. In 2012, the global incidence rate exceeded 500,000, and the worldwide mortality rate was estimated to be 266,000. It affects women at younger ages compared to other types of tumors and thus has a tragic impact on their lives. The burden of the disease is higher in developing countries, particularly in Africa, where the prevalence rate is the highest. The mortality rate is also higher in developing countries compared to developed countries.
