Abstract: Aortic pseudoaneurysm is an uncommon complication following major aortic surgery. Surgical intervention is challenging due to risks of pseudoaneurysm rupture, causing increased morbidity and mortality. Maintaining cerebral perfusion during circulatory arrest is therefore vital to improve patient outcomes. This case series involves two patients where a novel technique to maintain cerebral perfusion was used before resternotomy. Both patients underwent emergency repair of expanding aortic pseudo aneurysms following acute symptomatic presentation, on backgrounds of aortic dissection repair surgery.

Abstract: Posterior pericardiotomy (PP) is helpful to prevent arrhythmia; especially atrial fibrillation (AF), and cardiac tamponade postoperative cardiac valve surgery. The incidence of postoperative AF is increased due to postoperative pericardial effusion (PE). This study aimed to investigate the early outcome of PP after heart valve surgery. In this prospective study, 120 patients underwent elective valve heart surgery at our center from January 2020 until April 2022. Patients were followed up for AF and pericardial effusion, and reopening due to tamponade.

Abstract: Cardiac myxoma are the commonest benign cardiac tumor, its pathological character make it higher tendency for showering and embolic complications. Surgery done on urgent base to avoid its complications. Its location in atria make it safely and feasible to minimal invasive approaches.

Abstract: Mitral regurgitation is a complication that may occur during transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) and may require different treatments depending on the mechanism. In this report we describe for a "skipping rope sign" in transapical TAVI as a cause of severe mitral regurgitation due to extreme tethering of the anterior mitral leaflet caused by an extra-stiff guidewire entangled in its chordae tendineae during a transapical TAVI.

Abstract: Invasion of Aspergillus fungus into cardiac tissue is a rare occurrence typically seen in immunocompromised patients. Detection is typically a combination of galactomannan testing and imaging of heart tissue. Treatment of invasive cardiac aspergilloma can include intensive cardiac tissue debridement, repair and antifungal washout but has previously always

Abstract: Smart watches are growing in popularity, with about one-in-five Americans reporting daily use of a smart watch or fitness tracker. Smart watches continue to gain functionality as technology improves, and have established their utility in several applications of physiological tracking including detection of atrial fibrillation, a common arrhythmia. Because they serve
